This was by far one of my best experiences in my life. It was exhilarating getting up close with the Whale sharks. Me and my partner were quite sick but we didnt care at all because it was amazing. As soon as you get in the water all worries are gone and its sheer bliss

Was a great trip!! Would definitely go again. Pick up was on time, small group was perfect, time in water with sharks was awesome, good snack and drinks were provided, lunch was great, and drop off was on time and easy. Great guide, boat captain and great swimming guide.

Our adventure couldn't have been any better! The entire crew was top notch from the shuttle bus driver to the boat captain. We saw 8-10 whale sharks as the crew was very patient to make sure everyone had a great time

In general, these tours are all basically the same and regulated by the Mexican government - boat size, number of boats, the number of "jumps", etc. The pick-up was on time, our guide set a stop for Dramamine (even though we brought our own, but good for everyone else). The weather and the whales are up to chance, but our trip was great and my wife and I got two good length swims and I am happy and completely satisfied. The ceviche and guacamole lunch was also very good, and the people were very nice.

The trip is ~1 hour boat ride out to the whale shark grounds, then everyone gets 2 "jumps" with the whale sharks (~2 minutes in the water), then an hour ride back to Isla Mujeres for lunch and some light snorkeling, then back to the marina and then transport back to the hotel. 2 minutes seems like not a lot of time, but it is sufficient. Whale sharks swim pretty fast, and even as an active swimmer, triathlete, SCUBA-certified, and wearing fins, I was swimming very hard to keep up with the first whale shark, and the second one went right past me.

Overall, the experience was great and I highly recommend it. I would do it again the next time I am in the area.

I'm cutting one star because I feel the description is inaccurate re: sunscreen. It states "We only permit biodegradable sunscreen and it is better if you use it when you are in your Hotel before your trip because we care about your health and marine life." Once we got on the transport, we were told not to use sunscreen, and I get the explanation - they don't want the sunscreen to bother the whale sharks and given the number of people swimming with them on any given day, it makes total sense. I did buy special (and somewhat expensive) biodegradable sunscreen. I wish the description had said "bring a rash guard or long-sleeve shirt for sun protection." My wife ended up buying a nice-quality dry-fit shirt for a very reasonable price, but part of me wonders if that wasn't the point in the first place.
