We have an age range of 18-35 to keep our tours young, fun and active. We believe in a backpacker ethos of travelling light, keeping things cheap and not taking ourselves too seriously. If you are a budget traveler who loves a hostel stay, meeting new people and is into a proper backpacker lifestyle then this is the tour for you! We offer tours to younger people in an informal and fun setting, with many of our tours leading to long term friendships. We believe that keeping our tours young and cheap leads to a better, more friendly tour with a higher chance of the tour being memorable for everyone on board. If you are outside of the 18-35 age range please contact us before making a booking. Accommodation available as add-on at departure point. If booking own accommodation guests must stay in Kyleakin, not elsewhere as the driver cannot collect guests.

Day 1 Edinburgh to Skye (Sample Itinerary)

Stop At: Forth Bridge

Travel over the famous Forth Road Bridge and hear all about this monolithic structure that connects Lothian to the Kingdom of Fife

Stop At: Pitlochry

Stop off at this cute Highland town for a bit of lunch, to stretch your legs and to explore the old town centre

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Culloden Battlefield

Visit the Culloden Battlefield, sight of one of Scotland's most famous and important battles. Option to pay for visitor experience for £14 or explore the grounds for free.

Stop At: Loch Ness

Stop off on the banks of the infamous Loch Ness and hear all about the legend of Nessie

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Eilean Donan Castle

Stop off at one of Scotland's most photographed castles, Eilean Donan to snap a few pics of your own!

Stop At: Kyleakin

End your day in the cute fishing village of Kyleakin. Enjoy some scrumptious pub grub at the nearby bars or cook your own meal in our accommodation. Check out the nearby Castle Moil for a great sunset spot!

Day 2 Full Day on Skye (Sample Itinerary)

Stop At: Sligachan

At the foot of the Black Cuillins lies a small town and a mystical bridge. Some say if you can keep your face in its ice-cold waters for 60 seconds you'll attain eternal youth. But can you beat this challenge?

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Portree

Explore the colorful harbour of Portree and enjoy some tasty scran (Scottish for food) or buy some souvenirs to take back home. Make sure to go to the lookout point to see the harbor houses in all their multicolored glory before you hop back on the bus!

Stop At: The Old Man of Storr

Hike up the legendary Old Man of Storr, one of the Isle's most distinctive features, and enjoy stunning views over towards Rasaay and Wester Ross.

Stop At: Lealt Falls

Check out the beautiful Lealt Falls and stretch your legs to take some photos of one of our favorite waterfalls in Scotland

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Kilt Rock

Enjoy views of a waterfall flowing straight into the ocean from this scenic viewpoint. If you're lucky you'll be joined by a bagpiper playing Scotland's most famous instrument nearby

Stop At: Quiraing

Hike the Quiraing, a landslip off the Trotternish Peninsula that has created an almost alien like landscape. Please note this activity will only be done in certain conditions and according to the driver's discretion.

Stop At:

Visit the windiest place on the Winged Isle, Duntulm Castle, which looks out over the north of the Isle of Skye. Hop out and take a few pics of this castle ruin. Please note this activity will only be done in certain conditions and according to the driver's discretion.

Stop At: Uig

Cut through the town of Uig and learn about its importance to the history of the Isle of Skye and Jacobite Rebellion

Stop At: Kyleakin

Return to Kyleakin to rest your weary legs and enjoy the finer things in life as you reminisce about your day on Skye

Day 3 Skye to Edinburgh (Sample Itinerary)

Stop At: Eilean Donan Castle

If Eilean Donan Castle wasn't visited on day one because of bad conditions, tick it off this morning on your way out of Skye

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Spean Bridge

Stop off at Spean Bridge for a coffee and to peruse the many wears of this old Wool Mill

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Fort William

Head through the town of Fort William, which lies right below Britain's Highest Peak: Ben Nevis.

Stop At: Glencoe

Hop out and explore the iconic Glencoe, an area so beautiful that it's been used in advertisements and movies for years. Take an obligatory group photo if the weather permits!

Stop At:

Head through the peat bogs of Rannoch Moor as you leave Glencoe and learn all about how peat is and was used by the people of the Highlands

Stop At: Tyndrum

Stop off at one of Scotland's most famous rest stops to refuel for the day ahead

Stop At: Trossachs

Wind your way through the Trossachs and enjoy the spectacular scenery

If you haven't had the chance to see a Highland Coo on your trip we will generally stop off at Kilmahog where you have the chance to feed these hairy beasties!

Stop At: Doune Castle

Stop off at Doune Castle. Famously used for filming in the Outlander Series, Monty Python's Holy Grail and even Game of Thrones! £9.50 entry or free to explore the grounds Please note this activity will only be done in certain conditions and according to the driver's discretion.

Stop At: National Wallace Monument

Stop at one of the country's most important and famous monuments and learn about the legend of William Wallace Please note this activity will only be done in certain conditions and according to the driver's discretion. £8.75 entry to Monument if there is time.

Return to Castle Rock Hostel by 18:00 that evening and enjoy Edinburgh at your leisure. We highly recommend booking a few nights at our Edinburgh Hostels to get the most out of your trip to Scotland!
