Day 1 :Cusco – Ninamarca/Pilcopata Town – Paraiso Lodge

Stop At: Manu National Park

We leave from Cusco by private bus, first stopping to visit the pre Incas burial towers of Ninamarca. We then drive through the mountain to get to the typical folkloric town of Paucartambo from where we will continue in to the cloud forest. In San Pedro we will walk for approx. 1-hour to observe the National Bird of Peru, the Cock of the Rock and many different kinds of monkeys, plant and flowers. We arrive at our private rain forest lodge late in the night.

Day 2 :Pilcopata to Rainforest Lodge and Amazon of Peru (B

Stop At: Manu National Park

After breakfast we continue our journey by private car for 1.5-hour towards the port at Atalaya (500 m.a.s.l). There, we board a motorized boat. We reach our next lodge – Rainforest Lodge. Then we go to explore nearby paths where we can see a big diversity of species, for example, tarantulas, ants, butterflies, some monkey species, huge trees, erotic plants, palms, etc. After that, we return to our lodge to overnight.

Day 3 :Amazon Peru, Rainforest Lodge Parrot Clay Lick, Aguas Calientes of Manu (B)

Stop At: Manu National Park

We wake up today very early to board a motor boat taking us to a 10 minute far away clay-lick of parrots, budgerigars and aras (guacamayo) which is an unforgettable experience! After this activity, we return to the lodge to have breakfast. Then we go for a walk following nearby paths observing its large flora & fauna biodiversity such as monkeys, birds, medicinal plants, etc. For lunch, we get back to the lodge to later continue to another excursion, this time to Aguas Calientes (hot springs located in the Manu National Park). There, we enjoy a hot bath providing us with energy to set up a nearby camp exactly in the jungle. Optional: A night ride in a boat to do (caiman watching).

Day 4 : Aguas Calientes, Machuwasi Lake and Rainforest Lodge

Stop At: Manu National Park

Today, we have another opportunity to go to the parrot clay-lick to view parrots, budgerigars and guacamayos eating clay that is very important to their digestion. If we are lucky, we can also spot some big mammals like capybaras, tapirs, anteater and monkeys. We go for lunch back to the Rainforest Lodge. In the afternoon, we go to visit Machuwasi Lake to check out a sail in “remos” (hollowed tree trunks used by natives of the area). This is a perfect way on how to watch a big diversity of local animal species. Later on, we return to our lodge to spend the night. Optional: A night walk

The Manu National Park is a jungle reserve with an area of ​​1.8 million hectares. It is the largest national park in all of Peru, and definitely one of the best places in South America to observe a wide variety of jungle wildlife. Many biologists believe that Manu has the greatest biodiversity of all the jungle reserves in the world, encompassing an area from the eastern slopes of the Andes to the low jungle, thus converging a wide range of jungle and low jungle. The Manu, located between the Andes and reaching the Brazilian jungle to the Atlantic, has been virtually untouched by the logging industry and is one of the most incredible virgin forests on the planet. This fact, together with the impressive variety of birds, are two of the main attractions of this national park. In all, more than 15,000 plant species have been recorded in this exciting region, and nearly 250 varieties of trees have been found in a single hectare of this rich reserve.

Day 5 :Lodge Atalaya Port Back to Cusco

After breakfast, we board our motorized boat to start returning. Our first stop is in the Atalaya Port where our private vehicle awaits us to take us back to Cusco arriving there between 7 and 7:30 pm.
