Day 1 Port Arthur and Tasman Peninsula

Stop At: Richmond

Visit one of Tasmania's best preserved colonial villages located in the heart of the Coal River Valley wine region, home to Australia's oldest bridge, the Richmond Bridge.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Pirates Bay/Eaglehawk Neck

A quick stop to take in the this scenic lookout which gives us panoramic views of the Tasman Peninsular, Cape Hauy and Cape Pillar.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Port Arthur Historic Site

Our main attraction for the day - a visit to Australia's best preserved convict site, the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site. You will get a chance to discover the fascinating story of this convict settlement with its chilling realities for prisoners amid the preserved gaol ruins. Guided tour and harbour cruise included.

Stop At: Tasman National Park

We take time to explorer some of the remarkable natural geological features of the Tasman Peninsula including Tasman Arch, Devil's Kitchen & The Blowhole.

Day 2 Hobart to Strahan

Stop At: Russell Falls

We'll walk amongst some of the worlds tallest trees on the 'Tall Trees' walk finishing off with the star attraction - Russell Falls.

Stop At: Lake St Clair Park Center

Visit Australia's deepest freshwater lake located at the southern end of the World Famous Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Enjoy a walk or lunch by the lake.

Stop At: Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park

Located deep within the massive Tasmanian World Heritage Area we traverse the pristine Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park and take in the dramatic mountain peaks and the breathtaking views of the rainforests.

Stop At: Queenstown

A quirky and fascinating town with a rich and rugged mining history with loads of wild west appeal.

Day 3 Wild West Coast

Stop At: Strahan

After spending the evening in Strahan we have more time to explore the harbour-side village with a dark and fascinating convict past set on the edge of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.

Stop At:

Take this relaxing cruise into the world's last great temperate rainforest, deep into Tasmania's World Heritage Area. This scenic cruise takes you along the world renowned Gordon River. This is done as an alternative for our other days activities and done at your own cost.

This easy, three-hour return walk takes us through pleasant park-like rainforest of leatherwood, myrtle, sassafras and giant tree ferns to the base of Tasmania's tallest waterfall.

We visit this vast expanse of sand that extends 15kms along the coastline with dunes reaching 30 metres in height.

Imagine standing on a beach, gazing out at the ocean and knowing that the next landfall is South America, over 10,000km away. Ocean Beach is over 40km's of wild waves and West Coast Sunsets. Here we breathe in the worlds freshest air!

Day 4 Cradle Mountain to Launceston

Stop At: Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park

Here it is! Tasmania's big-ticket item and every hiker's dream. Will you take on the climb to Marion's Lookout or opt to meander around the glacial carved Dove Lake? With luck we may see a wombat or two at Ronny Creek.

Enjoy one of Tasmania's premier nature walks taking in both intimate and epic views of the famous mountain.

Stop At: Marion's Lookout Walk

This is a hikers paradise. Choose this walk for a challenging but scenic walk to Marion's Lookout for some breathtaking views.

Stop At: Sheffield

Time to explore this friendly and quirky town where history and art merge to create an entire town of murals.

Day 5 Launceston to Bicheno

Stop At: Cataract Gorge Reserve

Enjoy time to explore the beautiful unique Cataract Gorge Reserve. This unique natural formation located just minutes from central Launceston has walking tracks, the world's longest single-span chairlift, a restaurant, cafe, a suspension bridge, panoramic lookouts with spectacular views, a swimming pool as well as native wildlife.

Stop At: St Helens

A quick visit to the bustling fishing town to grab some lunch and check out the 'cray boats' in the harbour.

Stop At: Binalong Bay

Famous for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and orange lichen-covered granite boulders. If conditions are right then it's the perfect place for a swim.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Bicheno

Spend the evening exploring at your leisure this picturesque seaside town. Take in the sensational coastal views and sample some of the local fish and chips whilst keeping an eye out for the local wildlife including the migrating whales (in season).

Experience first hand these quirky little Tasmanian characters as they wander right past on their way to their burrows. This is done as an optional extra.

Day 6 Bicheno to Hobart

Stop At: Freycinet National Park

Here it is, the world famous Freycinet National Park. We beat the crowds by arriving early to explore this paradise. Walk to the lookout for panoramic views over Wineglass Bay. Then you can choose to relax at Wineglass Bay beach, or if you a looking for something a little more adventurous, choose the challenging climb of Mt Amos or take a beach walk.

As part of our visit to the Freycinet National Park this lookout offers stunning views of Wineglass Bay.

Stop At: Cape Tourville Lighthouse

Enjoy the stunning views from Cape Tourville out to the Tasman Sea and back towards the pink granite peaks of the Hazards Mountains and Wineglass Bay.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Swansea

Pass through as we continue along the Great Eastern Drive.

Stop At: Orford

A quick stop at the popular holiday township.
