The largest and most intact of the clan jetties, Chew Jetty consists of 75 elevated houses, several Chinese temples, a community hall and lots of tourist facilities, all linked by elevated wooden walkways. Stop At: Reclining Buddha Wat Chaiyamangalaram, 17, Lorong Burma, George Town, Penang Island Malaysia

Wat Chaiyamangalaram is a Thai temple in George Town and famous for its large gold plated Reclining Buddha, which at 33 meters and is one of the largest in the world. The temple dates back to 1845 and is built on land given to the Thai people by Queen Victoria of Great Britain during their rule of the island.
