The storied tradition of Seven Oaks Farm, which began in the 1700’s with the opening of one of Virginia’s first taverns, continues today with Septenary Winery. Situated on 109 acres of rolling hills surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Seven Oaks Farm and Vineyards is located just 15 minutes from Charlottesville in Greenwood, VA. The estate is a Virginia Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Stop At: Veritas Vineyard & Winery
Veritas Winery was started by Andrew and Patricia Hodson in 1999. Born out of their love of wine and commitment to producing quality wine, Veritas has grown into a 20-year-old family business that is on the leading edge of the Virginia wine industry. With over 50 acres in the Monticello wine region, and producing a complex portfolio of wine ranging from sparkling to beautifully balanced red wines, Veritas wine quality starts in the vineyard, and the terroir of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Located on the famed beverage corridor along Rt. 151 in Nelson County, the flagship Bold Rock Cider Barn opened in August 2014 and represents our company headquarters, the center of operations, and primary cider production facility. The ‘Chapel of Apple’ as it is affectionately known is a beautifully rustic timber-framed barn overlooking the Rockfish River.

Years ago, Steve and Heidi Crandall, were on a ski trip in the Alps when they tried their first craft beer, a German Weisse at a brewpub. to satisfy their thirst for a local haunt that served craft European-style beers, they started a whole brewery complete with a full-on brewpub for locals and visitors. It became a place where folks could drink and tell stories about their time on the trail or ski slope, or all of the above.
