The smallest of the 4 quarters of the Old City. The Armenian presence dates back to the 4th century AD, when Armenia adopted Christianity as a national religion and Armenian monks settled in Jerusalem.

The main street in Ancient Jerusalem under Byzantine rule, running from north to south and lined with a row of columns on each side.

Stop At: Broad Wall
Defensive wall in the Jewish Quarter, dated to the reign of King Hezekiah.

Stop At: Hurva Synagogue
One of the most beautiful and impressive synagogues in Jerusalem and Israel. Admire the special beauty of its interior, view the world’s tallest Holy Ark (which contains the synagogue’s Torah scrolls) and hear the fascinating story of the Hurva Synagogue. You can see history with their own eyes, and enjoy the breathtaking 360 degree view from the rooftop.
