Create a new signature dish in this dynamic program near Tokyo Tower. Experience hands-on training with a nationally accredited instructor and learn to prepare three different types of traditional sushi in our state-of-the-art facility. Then enjoy your creations as a satiating sushi lunch and take home a sushi kit as a souvenir! Sample menu: ◆ Nigiri-zushi: Hand-formed sushi rice topped with a single sliced ingredient such as tuna, shrimp, white fish, etc. ◆ Hosomaki-zushi: A thinly sliced filling such as cucumber or tuna wrapped in sushi rice and then rolled in nori seaweed. ◆ Gunkan-zushi: Hardened sushi rice topped with soft ingredients such as salmon roe, cod roe, or diced tuna, wrapped in nori seaweed. *Dietary requirements can be accommodated with advanced notice (vegan, kosher, halal, etc.)

In this program, you will learn all about the culture of sushi, the history of the cuisine, and how it has come to be as it is today. Then you will get to work making your sushi! In our lesson, you will master the sushi basics in just a few hours. Using these techniques, you will learn to make three delicious types of sushi: nigiri zushi (classic hand-molded sushi), gunkan maki (sushi wrapped in nori seaweed) and hosomaki zushi (thin sushi rolls).

Our classes are flexible, designed for everyone from beginners to expert chefs, and we offer instruction on handmaking sushi, as well as souvenir sushi kits. Whichever way fits you; we can teach you how to make tasty and photo-worthy sushi that is can compete with any of Tokyo’s best sushi joints.

After you have made your sushi, you will then sit down to enjoy it as a meal. As you eat, your instructor will teach you all about the condiments related to sushi, as well as introduce you to Japanese dining etiquette. Our knowledgeable instructors all have high-level language skills, so this conversation can be almost as delicious as the meal. Bon Appétit!
