Day 1 Arrivals

Day 2 Muscat city tour and dhow ride

Stop At: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

Visit the main landmarks in Muscat Governate, which reflect the civilization of the Sultanate of Oman, its history and heritage in a contemporary style. The tour includes a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a unique masterpiece of architecture and the symbol of the Arab Islamic Sultanate (please note the dress code). Then head towards the capital, Muscat, past the Royal Opera House. Afterwards you can walk in the old town next to the official Al Alm Palace and Jalali and Mirani Forts. You will visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum to learn more about the culture of Oman and traditions of its people. Also not to be missed, visit traditional Matrah Souq, also known as Dark Market, one of the oldest and most prominent Omani markets. In the afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel. You drive to the harbor to enjoy sunset through a dhow ride.

Day 3 Nakhal and Batinah plain

Stop At: Nakhal Fort

Discover the traditional fish market in Barka, then you can visit the vegetable and fruit market. Then head west to Hajar to visit Nakhal and its majestic fort at the foot of the mountains, which is characterized by its architecture as a defense complex. The fortress was recently renovated. Then you can drive between the date palms and irrigation canals of Falaj to enjoy the scenic nature and hot springs ... Afternoon drive back to Muscat.

Day 4 Coastal road to Sur

Stop At: Bimmah Sinkhole

Drive today through the scenic road from Muscat via Quriyat to Sur. You can visit Hawyat Najm (the falling star), a hole filled with water that was formed as a result of the natural factors and erosion that collapsed the limestone cliffs. Then you can enjoy the white sandy beach in Fins and drive through Wadi Tiwi. Then on to the city of traditional ships, Sur. You can visit a traditional Dhow shipyard. This city is also famous for sea turtles. You can enjoy the atmosphere of the Omani sea.

Day 5 Wadi Bani Khalid and Bidiyah

Stop At: Wadi Bani Khalid

Enjoy today's excursion to Wadi Bani Khalid and Sharqiyah Sands! You can drive past several dry river beds (wadis) next to the eastern Hajar Mountains. Wadi Bani Khalid is an oasis among the arid high mountain ranges. You can relax or practice mountaineering, but more importantly, enjoy a dip in the natural water pools. Visiting Sharqiyah Sand, you can visit Bedouin Houses. If you want, you can ride desert adventurers, dune pashing or dromedaries.

Day 6 Bidiyah Women's Market Nizwa

Stop At: Ibra Ladies Souk

After breakfast, set off for the Wednesday Souq, Women's Market in Ibra. Here only women are allowed to advertise their goods and sell their homemade handicrafts every Wednesday. On the way to Nizwa, you can visit the beehive graves in Zukait from the second millennium BC. Then, enjoy the beauty of 17th-century Omani architecture by visiting the Jabreen Castle. Then continue to Nizwa to relax in the hotel.

Day 7 Nizwa - Western Hajar Mountains

Stop At: Nizwa Fort Oman

Today you can visit rustic villages and mountain areas and enjoy the geology. The tour includes a trend for the Hoota Cave, formed by natural factors as the Drop Stone Cave. It is famous for its water basins and animals, such as blind fish, spiders and bats. Then we drive to the old mud villages and walk between farms and multi-storey houses. You can learn about traditional life in this neighborhood, either in Misfah or in the ancient city of Alhamra. Then, enjoy the adventure drive to Jebel Shams, the highest peak in the Arabian Gulf, and enjoy the scenic views from the so-called Grand Canyon. After this adventure, return to Nizwa.

Day 8 Livestock Market and Rückflugh

Stop At: Jebel Shams

Nizwa was the most famous ancient capital of the sultanate. It is also of its vital and central market, especially every Friday morning. Here you can see the cattle market, the date market, the Omani sweets factory (Halwa), the old market and the craft market known by the silverware industry, daggers (Omani Khanjars) and conventional weapons. You can then visit the historic Nizwa Fort, known as the headquarters of the Ya'ariba dynasty and characterized by its huge round tower, which was a defensive platform for protection against foreign ambitions. Then return to Muscat to the airport to return home
