Hiroshima, full of greenery and water, is a symbol of peace and sends many messages to the world. Such is the city of Hiroshima, but it was said that there would be no grass or trees for 75 years after the war. In the summer of 1945, when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima during World War II, those who suffered severe burns from the bomb jumped into the river one after another in search of water. It is said that many of them died while gazing from the river at the collapsed brick Industrial Promotion Hall (today's Atomic Bomb Dome) and the burnt-out city.
