The Algarve is Portugal’s most international region. It is the destination of choice for people from all over the globe, and that is why we often hear a little of every language spoken in the streets of the region. People flock to this corner of the world for various reasons: from the warm climate, to the stunning - and famous - coast line, and the unique Mediterranean cuisine. The trip includes a visit to Silves Castle, with its Islamic military architecture and one of the most well preserved castles in the country, which doubles as a viewpoint thanks to its location at the top of a large hill. Get ready for a breathtaking view. We then continue to Foia, nestled in the Monchique Mountain. Foia is the Algarve’s highest point, and you will certainly be impressed by the stunning panoramic views. In the charming city of Lagos, historically linked to the Portuguese Discoveries, you will be able to visit Saint Anthony’s Church and the Slave Market, from the 14th Century.
