We designed this experience specifically for Food & Wine Lovers, who love to taste new and interesting wines. You will be received and guided by a winery expert. You will get to see the vineyard, winery and cellar followed by a Countryside Lunch with wine. This is more of an educational experience for those new to wine or for avid wine enthusiasts. You will learn about Tannat, Uruguay's flagship grape now known as the healthiest red wine in the world. We always keep in mind that you have travelled from afar to experience something special. Together with our small team, our goal is to make it as personable as possible (like hanging out with a new friend). Itinerary Details

If you are 2 to 4 persons this will be Private Tour to a Family Winery. You will commute in a comfortable car with a local guide, who is very familiar with Montevideo and its surroundings. We work with a few select wineries, so depending on availability, we will select the best one for the occasion. If you are 5 or more persons this will be a small group tour ideal for cruise ships and families commuting in a minivan.

You will be picked up at your place of residence and get to see the best parts of Montevideo on route to the winery. Most of the wineries we work with date back to the early 1900's with most having at least 4 generations. Upon arrival at the winery you will be received by a winery expert, who will take you to the vineyards, winery and cellar, so this is more of an educational experience. Wineries are now popular in Uruguay, so you will get to meet other travellers at the winery.

Enjoy a Traditional Countryside Lunch with new and interesting wines including Tannat, Uruguay's flagship grape. This is a fun day out making new friends, perfect for Food & Wine Lovers, who are looking to start their trip with a bang!
