Beginning at Syntagma Square in the heart of the city, you will first visit the iconic monument, the 'Tomb of the Unknown Soldier', which is guarded by the famous Evzone soldiers. Here you will see the 'changing of the guards' ceremony that takes place every day at the top of the hour. You will then make your way to 'Hadrian's Arch', a monumental gateway before stopping at the grandiose ruined 'Temple of Zeus'. Your tour will then continue into the historic neighbourhood of Plaka, one of the oldest and busiest areas of the capital. Enjoy walking below the illuminated Acropolis to discover the Tower of Winds', a marble clocktower, and the Roman Agora, the first shopping court in history. You will also stop off at 'Hadrian's Library' before entering Monastiraki where you will marvel at the historic buildings and architecture of Psirri. You will finish the tour at one of the best eateries in the area where you will enjoy an appetising evening meal and sample local Greek wine.
