Day 1: Depart from Marrakech and cross the "Tizi n'Tichka" pass while enjoying magnificent views of the "High Atlas" Mountains and Berber villages. Stop for lunch and visit the "UNESCO" World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou, located on a hill along the Ouarzazate River. This fine example of southern Moroccan architecture has served as the backdrop for more than 20 films, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Jewel of the Nile, The "Mummy and Gladiator".... You will continue to El Kelaa M'gouna "Valley of the Roses" and the Dades Valley "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs". Spend the night in a hotel right next to the "Dades Gorge" and enjoy the evening with a Moroccan dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast, departure to the "Todra Gorges". Its 20m wide inlet, clear bubbling stream and 304m high rock walls extend 99m on each side and are the most impressive part of the canyon. The narrow valley is lined with palm trees and on the rocks you can see nomadic families herding sheep and goats. You may see the eagles that nest in the Todra and other amazing birds. You will have lunch in the gorges, "travel further into the desert" to the "small town" of "Merzouga", where you will trek on camels through "the magnificent dunes" of "Erg Chebbi". You will spend the night in a bivouac "camp", enjoy a Moroccan dinner and sleep in a "traditional nomadic" camel hair tent.
Day 3: Wake up to a "spectacular desert" "sunrise" and enjoy your breakfast. Bivouac trekkers will return by camel and continue to "Ouarzazate" and return to the "High Atlas Mountains". "Arrival in Marrakech" in the early afternoon.
