Join us for our Sunset Canoeing on the Macal River and enjoy the magical hour-that time between sunset and dusk. Tease your senses as daylight fades and you enjoy the tropical forest system with nocturnal fauna awakening. Your naturalist guide will meet you at your hotel and transport you to our Macal River launch site. From there, you’ll paddle downstream. Be on the lookout for iguanas and birds as they settle for the night in their river side roosts. Navigate by the community of Cristo Rey Village, occasionally spotting villagers going about on their way life. Continue downstream as the sun disappears behind the steep hillside… bringing an end to another perfect day just as we approach San Ignacio Town. Enjoy your snacks on the river bank while taking in the serene surroundings just before your guide takes you back to your hotel and says our goodbyes. This tranquil paddling experience is designed for all skill levels- from beginner to more experienced paddlers.
