Learn the basics of Stand-up Paddle Boarding (SUP) or advance your skills with one of our lessons.  They can be private.  Santa Barbara is home to ideal paddling conditions, for newbies we launch out of the protected Santa Barbara harbor.  For more advanced paddlers, we typically launch off Leadbetter Beach, Goleta Beach, or Hendry's Beach depending on the type of lesson and skill level of the paddler.  All of our instructors are CPR/First-Aid certified, passionate about paddling, and excited to share their wealth of knowledge with you.  Paddle Sports Center co-founder, Fraser Kersey is an ASI Instructor Trainer, teaching instructors and students alike.

Most lessons start at 10:00am, so please arrive 15min before hand.  Paddlers will meet at the Paddle Sports Center, in the Santa Barbara Harbor.  We have changing rooms, lockers and wetsuits available for your convenience.  Once we gear up, we will have basic instruction & orientation on land.  Paddle Sports conveniently has floating storage in the SB harbor, so we will walk down to our docks and launch in the protected waterway of the Santa Barbara Harbor.  Typically paddlers spend 1.5hrs on the water and depending on the groups ability - it will dictate how far they paddle.  Paddler commonly see a variety of sea birds, harbor seal, sea lions, dolphin and potentially whales! Instructors are very knowledgable about the sport of Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, local history and local wildlife.
