This is an excellent levada that has its beginning in Lamaceiros, Porto Moniz. Along its 13 km, the levada takes you to the interior of this unique valley of Ribeira da Janela. Along the way there are several tunnels that make this a different experience. The ground inside the tunnel can be slippery and there can be some water falling from the rocks. Also be careful with your head. We recommend taking a flashlight and a waterproof jacket. At the end you reach Ribeira da Janela. The fantastic view is dominated by large rocks that paint the landscape with a soft and pleasant shade of gray. Among the rocks flows the pure and crystal water, forming several ponds here and there.
