The silence becomes even more omnipresent as it makes rare appearances between the constant sounds of metal being beaten in the ‘Thatheron ki Gali. This street in Jaipur is a home to utensil makers, locally known as the ‘Thatherey’, and is as old as the city itself.

The busy Tripolia bazaar ends at Maniharon ka Raasta, the portion of the street that still holds a close connection to the regality of the past. The extension of the market is due to the shyness of citizens. Maniharon Ka Raasta majorly deals with lac bangles of all kinds. The entire market is visited by women due to it being known for the bangles only and the bangles are decorated with precious to semi-precious stones, beads, crystal,s and other embellishments. The craftsmen who make the lac bangles are believed to have arrived from Manoharpur in Uttar Pradesh at the invitation of the then Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. The Muslim Manihari women handle the shops here and also are involved in creating the lac bangles using all kinds of embellishments.

Tripolia Gate which was built in 1734. The Tripolia Gate was used as the main entrance to the City Palace. However, it is only accessible to the royal family and their guests enter the palace. As of today, the gate serves as the entrance gate to both City Palace and Jantar Mantar.

The oldest & busiest market of Jaipur. Tripolia Bazar is well known for its range of lac bangles that come in all colors and are very attractive. a wide variety of lac jewelry to offer including earrings, necklaces, chokers, and bracelets. The kulhadd lassi and kachoris of Tripolia Bazar are not to be missed

Stop At: Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind
Jaipur's most acclaimed landmark was built in 1799 to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch street processions while remaining in a strict state of purdah. Its 5-story facade, decked with no less than 593 finely screened windows and balconies, makes the building seem far larger than it really is; Though the primary source of its appeal is undoubtedly the fantastic honeycomb pink and white face. Wedding fabrics, dresses, and sherwanis hanging at the entrance of the market, If we can ignore its suffocating entry points, Purohit Ji Ka Katla, by far is one of the most wonderful shopping destinations for wedding shoppers in the Pink City! After so many years, still holds its traditional market charm, Majority of the buyers seen here are the locals and rural people from nearby areas of Jaipur, as tourists could never really reach THIS market of the walled city. A wholesale market hidden within the Johri Bazaar is the shopping hub for the cheapest goods, hence the people from villages nearby come here to shop for products in bulk.

Stop At: Govind Devji Temple
Situated in City Palace, Govind Ji Temple is the most prominent and sacred place of worship in Jaipur, and also the most significant one as far as the history of Rajasthani rulers goes. The temple is dedicated to Lord Govind Dev Ji. Temple is built in sandstone and marble with ceilings covered with gold. The architecture of the temple building has a mix of Rajasthani, Muslim as well as Classical Indian elements to it. Since it was built beside a royal residence, the walls are adorned with chandeliers as well as paintings. The temple is also surrounded by a lush green garden and the garden is known by the name, ‘Talkatora’ and is best suited for children. This is where our tour ends and we'll go grab a cup of tea :)
