Enjoy a 12 to 13-hour trip to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the BERNINA TRAIN, passing before along LAKE COMO and a beautiful Alpine valley. We stop in the charming lakeshore village of Varenna and, possibly later along the way, to visit a cheese/wine typical cellar! In Tirano you have the opportunity to have your lunch and then we finally board the Bernina train that climb the Swiss Alps. We get off at one the highest point to enjoy the view, snowcaps and glaciers view while in the winter, the snow is right there on the ground. (JUST IN CASE OF SEVERE WEATHER CONDITION WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REACH THIS POINT AND SWITCH TO ONLY A PARTIAL RIDE OF THE BERNINA TRAIN) Afterward we head to St. Moritz where you have about 45 minutes to explore this fashionable resort, one of the most well known in the world. At the end of it we go back to Lake Como, through another spectacular valley in Switzerland, from where you board the regular train for a short ride on your return to Milan.
