Customer Reviews
Nice tour of Morocco; highlight - Chefchaouen
2021-11-28
The tour was great. Due to Covid-19 closures, our itinerary was modified such that we stayed a night in Tangier rather than Asilah. I think Asilah would have been nicer (Tangier was noisy and people generally seemed more pushy there than a lot of other places), but what can you do? Chefchauoen was the highlight, followed by Fes. Rabat was cool for its history. Casablanca, Tangier, and Meknes were just OK.
We also ended up spontaneously adding transportation (with Younes) to Marrakech for the second part of our stay in-country. Originally, we'd planned to take the train, and it would have been *much* cheaper, but it was going to strain our trip timeline, add taxi hassles, etc.. One thing I will note is that Younes pushed a bit more abrasively than usual for us to do the private transport when we mentioned we were headed there, and I politely refused a couple times. However, we ultimately opted for it because it just made things a lot easier on us. I'm guessing he pushed it because he's from there (get paid to drive yourself home? why not).
Overall, we very much enjoyed this trip and Morocco.
