Half-Day Windhoek City and Township Cultural Tour

I was the only one that had booked this tour but Raymond was still very enthusiastic and gave me his full attention. He was very knowledgeable of the city and keen to tell me all about it's history and culture. Infact, I did a brief city tour once I later joined my main tour group a few days later and the info I got on that was nothing compared to everything Raymond had told me! Was very interesting to s=drive around the township and see the craft program and even try the mopane worms and the freshly cut and cooked beef strips.

We went on the tour with Raymond yesterday and we felt really comfortable with him. It was a very interesting and informative tour. Would recommend!

I went solo on this tour and it was a great experience from beginning to end. I found the market as well as the penduka visit to be my favourite parts of the tour. I would suggest that the tour guide ask the guests if they would like to buy marula fruit key rings when we are outside the church instead of placing us right where the sellers are so that we feel pressured to buy. This is my only reasons for giving 4stars.. Otherwise it was a great tour . Would recommend.

They should be how every traveler to Windhoek kicks off their vacation! There is no better way to begin to know the city and surrounding area then with a great tour by Josef, who led us through the historical downtown, the vibrant market, and the surrounding Township, all with fantastic commentary. I felt like I attended a college course in one morning and learned so much! Thanks to Josef for the great knowledge!

I was skeptical about booking a tour on a Sunday but it turned out to be the best time for it. Josef, my guide ensured I was comfortable the entire time and had such detailed insights and information about all the places we visited. After being in Windhoek a week, I believe this was the best way to get a true feeling, sense and knowledge of the city, it’s culture, history and local flavors. Go for it!

I've visited Windhoek for work on several occasions, however, this tour showed me areas of the city (and the city's history) that I hadn't seen before! A highlight was having Kapana in Katatura!

Gregory was an informative guide. He gave us a great deal of background, context and cultural nuances that are not included in the history books.

Excellent tour and a good way to spend the day in Windhoek. I saw the city center, the township Katura, had some local food, or Kapana, and stopped at a woman's craft market. Joseph is an excellent guide, telling us stories of his childhood and life, and all sorts of interesting facts about the country. He was lots of fun to be around and he made the tour special. To get a taste of life in Namibia, I highly recommend this tour.
