Cape Town Township Private Tour

Wow, what can i say about Peter and the service we received.
A group of us came to Cape Town for 1 week, for a wedding and leisure trip.
One of our friends reccomended Peter and his company for a conceirge service, so we decided to reach out.
From the minute we made contact the service was fantastic. No stone was left unturned.
Every single journey we used Peter for he was always 10minutes early for pick up, every vehicle was immaculately clean, the safety of his driving was second to none, he gave us so much insight and history about the city as we was driving around from day to day, no journey was too short or long (even a 10hr round trip of one journey).
Even Peter as a person is so down to earth and real, what a guy!!

Also, Peter and the companys charity work they carry out is nothing short of outstanding and it was an absoloute pleasure to listen to some of his stories, especially the life changing trip for the girls soccer team to Sweden was my favourite.

Anyone needing a tour or conceirge service in and around Cape Town, I 1 million percent reccomend this company and especially Peter.

What a humble, inspiring and impressive experience. The way the people welcomed me is something I will never forget.

Guide Peter is a rockstar: many people in the area know him, so that gave me the opportunity to interact with the residents of the townships. He knows a lot about the history and lifestyle of those areas.

Today Imzu took us to Langa and one of his guides Kanja (if I remember correctly) showed us around. He was very nice and had many interesting things to say. The residents are also very friendly. We were able to see a lot and it was beautiful and poignant at the same time. We had heard bad stories about these neighborhoods in advance, but we really didn't notice any of this now. We never felt safe for a moment. We will never forget Kanja!! We definitely recommend this tour!!! This is also Cape Town.

Sibu was our guide and he was lovely and very informative. We had such a good day. We learnt so much, got to see a different side to Cape Town which we will remember forever. We went to two townships and had lunch in a local restaurant. Joe allowed us in to his home and showed us around some parts of Khayelitsha. We met some children who were so lovely and kind. I would definitely recommend this tour and company.

I will keep this brief because I don’t like writing negative reviews. The driver never showed up.
I called the tour operator three times with no one answering the phone. I Called TripAdvisor. They called with no answer. I Emailed twice. No answer. Finally gave up after an hour.
Later that evening, they responded apologetically that they had two groups and they forgot us. , I hate writing one star reviews it but someone needs to know that these people are not 100% reliable.

Theo is a legend! Very knowledgeable very friendly and very fun. We had an epic time. With MT (a great driver and a great guide) at the wheel we had a smooth and safe trip. When you’re with these guys u have nothing to worry abt u can just relax,enjoy and take it all in. This is a must do!!!

An unforgettable day. Mtitilele was our tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We learned so much and we were provided with a rich, thoughtful and varied experience. Would recommend to everyone as a must do activity when visiting Cape Town.

My recent visit to Langa Township, the oldest township in Cape Town, was nothing short of extraordinary. Although initially hesitant given the general stigmatization of townships, I am glad that I decided to embark on this experience, which turned out to be one of the most authentic African journeys I have ever had.
The walking tour took us through the township's streets, revealing a mix of old hostels, new housing, and informal settlements. The mosaic of daily life, vivid murals, lively music, and the chatter of children playing in the streets were a testament to the spirit of the people living there.

A very respectfully and save way to see the township from up close. The guides know a lot and they show you a piece of real South Africa. Great people!

I experienced a total different side of Cape Town in this wonderful tour. I learned a lot about the cultur, history and the people who live here. This activity should be on your to do list for South Africa. Besides that you help the locals with being on the tour.

My parents and me decided to do the Township Tour. Peter was our tour guide and we could not think of anyone better than him! This day was the best day of our 2 weeks trip in Cape Town and nobody should miss this experience! Thank you so much Peter!

Sign up for this tour!!! It is fantastic! We actually visited homes in the Township and heard the stories of people there. We went to lunch in a restaurant where local people go - we saw no other tourists!! It turned out that no one else signed up for our time slot, so we (two over-80 year olds from LA, CA, USA) had a private tour with two seriously informative, yet happily engaging men. MT and Sibu were instrumental in starting this organization, African Authentic Experience, which gives tours, and also works with individuals in the Townships, advancing the quality of their lives. MT and Sibu gave us an on-the-ground history lesson and a museum tour that gave us a background for then going to the Township. No telling can adequately convey the experience of walking through the community and visiting with the people. We will always remember this experience - it is probably the most meaningful of all we had during our month in South Africa and Zimbabwe. We enthusiastically recommend this tour with gratitude for having taken it.

My trip to Langa was hands down the best part of my trip! My time there was very intimate and informal which gave me a more personal experience rather than a tour. Meeting the locals and hearing the incredible stories of adversity, hope and resiliency opened my heart in a new way. The experience allowed me to see and learn about a fundamental part of Cape town that I otherwise would have not known existed. I was truly moved by this experience and I’m so happy this exists!

What an amazing experience. Our guide MT went above and beyond to give us a true and inspired South African experience. He kindly answered all our questions and showed us places where we would have never gone ourselves. Such great trip. Highly recommended.
