Full Day Afrivista Wine Tours from Stellenbosch

An awesome day out with a very knowledgeable guide who clearly knows the background of each of the estates we visited and as a friend told me he’s chosen some of the best and he wasn’t wrong!

Not too big a group either which means it’s fairly easy to enjoy other couples company without it being forced!

A must do tour I would certainly do again and worth every buck!

Brilliant day out I’m not a wine drinker but was impressed after sampling a few all vineyards we visited gave generous tastings and the food was excellent thoroughly enjoyed our day

This was a top tour. Perhaps it was partly the result of being part of a small group that thus was so enjoyable, but the role of the guide cannot be understated. To start with he provided us with facts and allowed us to enjoy the wine but as the day progressed he joined in with our conversations more and this added to the experience.
We visited 4 vineyards, all of high quality but the Rustenberg estate was particularly memorable.

An amazing day with our exceptional guide Niel from Afrivista Tours-Viator who was well versed in the Stellenbosch wine region. He has a great background, after growing up in Stellenbosch, bringing tons of experience to the tour and provided many insights on the wine growing history of the region. Being so knowledgeable he was also able to provide our group details on each of the (4) wineries we visited. We had an outstanding lunch at a (5th) winery where we had an opportunity to talk about Stellenbosch, Paarl & Franschoek and the top wines being produced. Pinotage is a wine we had never been exposed to in the U.S., so it was great hearing from Niel on how it has developed and grown in popularity. You must try some, especially at Kanonkop Winery who we rated #1. I highly recommend Afrivista Tours to take you on a day long winery tour of the region in their very comfortable air conditioned mini-vans.

Great wine tasting tour to 4 different wineries with different characters and good lunch. Very good driver and guide. Pickup at our hotel appreciated. Rustenberg wines delicious. Muratie interesting history and good dessert wines. Cheese and wine pairing very good. Nice tour through Stellenbosch as well.

We really enjoyed our 3/4 day wine tour with Niel. It was obvious from the start that Niel, himself, is very knowledgeable about wine and the wine estates around Stellenbosch. This enables him to tailor the tours to the tastes of his clients, which he did exceptionally well on the day we did the tour. He is also very friendly and manages to create a great atmosphere amongst the various guests on the tour, even if their politics differ.
I would highly recommend Niels tours to anyone who is spending some time in Stellenbosch.

We have done many wine tours in various parts of the world but none were as good
as the we had yesterday with Niel. He was able to take us through a winery and show the whole process of wine making. After which we enjoyed wines at several
wine properties. During these visits we sampled different wines which were
described to us in detail. Whenever anyone had a question Niel answered in great detail so we could understand. The lunch we were served was superb.
We would recommend taking his tour to anyone-whether a beginner to wines
or someone with experience and knowledge of wines.

Jake was an amazing guide. He gave us knowledge about the town, grapes, winemaking and even history. He was kind and friendly and took us to wonderful wineries, each different yet excellent. This was one of the best wine tours I’ve ever done.

We had the privilege of having Niel drive us from Cape Town to Stellenbosch , taking a scenic route and visiting the Cape of Good Hope and Boulder’s Bay and other points of interest along the way. Niel was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We also spent an enjoyable day touring wineries in Stellenbosch. On our final day, we contacted Niel with a last minute request and he arranged for Marius to take us to several animal sanctuaries. Despite the short notice, the day was planned quickly and perfectly and exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect ending to our stay in South Africa. I would highly recommend Afrivista Tours!

I operate a tour company in Canada and take groups all over the world, including several to South Africa each year. Niel looks after all our winery and other tours in the Stellenbosch area. He takes us to Cape Point and Boulder Beach (to see the penguins). Starting in 2025 he will take our groups to Hermanus as well. I cannot imagine a better company to deal with in the Stellenbosch area than Afrivista.

Jakobus was our guide for the day, This trip is a real find.... a must, if in Stellenbosch. We booked our day trip, the day before, .( it turned out cheaper than pre booking).

Our tour guide Jakobus, was an extremely informative guy. . On our tour, he told us lots of quirky anecdotes of Stellenbosch itself, having grown up there and still a resident.
The cheese and wine pairing at one winery was superb!! One could also buy delicious breads, cheeses and of course the wines.
What's not to like!!!
I would most certainly repeat this wine Tour again .

One can just sit back and enjoy the wonderful senary and the delicious wines and not have to worry. Almost forgot , a very tasty lunch is also included in the price. !!
