However our suggestions are as follows: Our Cape of Good Hope hike start on the Western shoreline of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and cross over to the Eastern side of the reserve offering breathtaking views of False Bay. In spring spectacular flora and abundant bird-life are one of the many highlights as well as Whale watching. The Cape of Good Hope hike take you South toward Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. The hike is mainly along the coastline with stunning beaches and involve occasional rock scrambling. You are almost bound to get very close to baboons. Following a rest at Cape Point the hike take you to the old light house and along a well-maintained and marked boardwalk to the famous Cape of Good Hope most South Western tip of Africa. The trail is popular for the unsurpassed views over the pristine Diaz Beach.

Itinerary

Camps Bay
10 minutes
We will travel along the Atlantic seaboard, driving between the mountains and the ocean our first photo stop will be at Maiden's Cove beautiful scenic lookout point nestled between Clifton's beaches and the prestigious suburb of Camps Bay in Cape Town.

Hout Bay
Leaving Cape Town the first fishing village we drive through is Hout Bay perched on the edge of the ocean. It is bordered on either side by Table Mountain range which at one end closes into a narrow
neck with a road leading to the wealthy mountainside suburb of Constantia and on the other opening out onto the half-moon shaped bay with the scenic Chapman's Peak road between mountain and sea.

Chapman's Peak Drive
15 minutes
Our drive down to the Good Hope nature reserve take us from Hout Bay to Noordhoek on the coastal scenic Chapman's Peak drive across the mountain face, numerous wonderful viewing sites. The almost vertical, sheer cliffs of Chapman's Peak seemingly close enough to touch, plunge into the sea the road cuts through sedimentary dark colored layers of sandstone and the lighter grey-colored granite exposed below the road.

A road trip around the Cape Peninsula without the coastal drive to Scarborough would have not been complete.

Cape Point Ostrich Farm

Set in the beautiful Cape Peninsula or next photo stop is at the Southern most ostrich farm in Africa. Largest living birds in the world tour guide will give you some interesting fact about ostriches.

Platboom Beach

The first part of our hike starts along the beach on the Western shoreline of the Nature Reserve crossing over to the Eastern side ending at Cape Point. It offers breathtaking views of False Bay. In spring, spectacular flora and abundant bird life are one of the many highlights as well as Whale watching.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse
45 minutes
Walk or take the funicular to the old Cape Point lighthouse. From here numerous stepped paths lead to various viewpoints. Ascending to Cape Point old lighthouse is enjoyable and invigorating.

Cape of Good Hope
45 minutes
Our hike takes you from Cape Point along a well-maintained and marked boardwalk to the famous Cape of Good Hope most South Western corner of Africa. The trail is popular for the unsurpassed views over the pristine Diaz Beach and rugged shoreline. A perfect photo opportunity. The Cape of Good Hope, the continent's most southwesterly point, defining the moment for a momentous photograph - you have finally reached the Cape with all its magic.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony
45 minutes
Driving out of the Cape Point Nature Reserve our next stop situated along the False Bay coastline is the famous Boulders Penguins Colony near Simon's Town. The place gets its name from the huge and ancient granite boulders along the coast. This picturesque area is home to a colony of some 3000 delightful African Penguins. A boardwalk runs from Foxy Beach to Boulders Beach, where you can get down on the sand and mingle with the penguins but don't be tempted to pet them they have sharp beaks that can cause serious injuries.

Simon's Town
After our visit at Boulders beach and the African Penguin colony our drive back to Cape Town take us through the picturesque coastal naval town of Simon's Town located on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula.

Kalk Bay
Kalk Bay fishing village situated on the East side of the peninsula along False Bay. The village lies between the ocean and sharply rising mountainous heights of Table Mountain Sandstone.

Boyes Drive

Boyes Drive our last scenic coastal road that climbs the lower slopes of Muizenberg Mountain providing panoramic views over Muizenberg beach for our last photo opportunity before heading inland. If not too late the shark spotter may still be on duty.

Muizenberg is one of South Africa's premier surfing destinations, offering excellent waves and surf schools for beginners a popular spot for families and children and It is also known for the colorful beach huts lining the shoreline.

Nestled beneath Table Mountain is the Constantia wine valley with a wine making history that date back to 1685.
