Itinerary
Meeting Point
From Wilderness village pass Palms Garden Square with The Girl's and The Blind Pig and past the Wilderness Hotel, take the second exit from the roundabout at the hotel and go down Waterside road to the start of the boardwalk opposite Waterside Lodge. Our jetty is just 15m down the boardwalk.
Wilderness Ferry - Waterside Jetty
Our ferry is a means to travel from Wilderness lagoon up the Touw River to enjoy what Wilderness National Park has to offer. Board the Ferry at 09h30 at Waterside Jetty on the boardwalk on Wilderness Lagoon, a 20 to 30 minute cruise up the Touw River to Ebb and Flow in Wilderness National Park, here you get off the boat and either hire a canoe (@ R97 for one hour, R219 for 3 hours or R303 for 6 hours) and canoe on the river and/or hike the Half-collared Kingfisher Trail to the waterfall (3 hours), or picnic in the day visitor area. Hiking and picnicking are included in the park permit fee. When you have finished your activities in the National Park, board the ferry back to Wilderness at 15h00, ending an adventurous day in Wilderness National Park.
