What You Will Do
An exploration of the current-day regeneration of the city – spearheaded by converting old office buildings into sparkling residential apartments and the introduction of public art pieces all over the city. Starting off with a storytelling on the history of the city, we head east of Gandhi Square to Absa Towers, Jewel City and Maboneng. See the vibrant future of the Johannesburg inner-city for yourself. A city which is fast transforming into a neighbourhood of choice, offering the greatest lifestyle with urban living in trendy apartments, set amidst community and commercial amenities a short walk away. Visit the most astonishing antique bookshop in town with millions of books, before ambling through Maboneng, one of the first city precincts to have undergone significant regeneration a decade ago, and today the party capital of the city. We visit some fantastic coffee shops, eateries and even a backpacker lodge along the way.
