Johannesburg: Wine Tasting and Cableway Half Day Tour

One of the best highlight on our holiday, beautiful experience and we were well looked after, cableway and wine tasting was beautiful.

We took the cable car to the top of the mountain with a beautiful scenic overlook and sat outside and enjoyed a beer before going to the wine tasting. Cole was a delight to show us around, We also enjoyed meeting Stuart and hearing how they started their company. The wine venue was pretty and great wines..

First of all we were welcomed by Stuart with a nice bubbly sparkling wine. And then he took us to the cable cars were we had an amazing time, with girlfriend kept talking about it, after that Stuart took us for wine tasting accompanied by a cheese platter; we enjoyed every last bit. We even bought our favourite bottle of wine. It's worth every penny.

This was a wonder tour, and we really enjoyed our time with Stuart, who is a fantastic guide. The activities were well selected; it was fun and adventurous, but a nice pace. The views from the top of the mountain were amazing, and it was a great way to get a taste of ‘Cape Town’ without the need to travel too far. We definitely recommend this for a couple or adults-only trip.

Had a wonderful experience. First we visited Hartbeespoort and viewed the beautiful scenery from atop the mountain (we used the cableway to the summit). Then we had a relaxing & splendid wine tasting experience. Our 'tour guide' Stuart Crous was very pleasant and fun to be around.

We so enjoyed the wine tasting and hearing all about the wines in South Africa. The story telling and humor was on point.

I would have loved this experience better if we went to the cable car first and then stopped somewhere else for lunch (food at the cable car experience wasn’t great). Then hit the wine tasting after lunch.

Seeing the sites around JoBerg helped us as tourist understand the area better.

What an amazing experience this was!

My fiancé and I love going on unique dates and this was definitely our cup of tea (or should I say, “our glass of wine”).

Stuart picked us up from our home in such a neat vehicle with complimentary water and great conversation. We were taken to the cable way where he made sure we had our wrist bands and stayed with us until we were on our way up. We were met at the top with spectacular views, delicious food and ice cold drinks which is exactly what you need on a hot day. Once we were finished, Stuart met us at the bottom with an airconditioned car, waiting to take us to the wine tasting, where he organized everything, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy, in fact, we enjoyed it so much that we bought 3 wines to enjoy at home and reminisce on such a wonderful experience.

There was nothing better than going on a date without having the hassle of all of the admin. If you are looking for a romantic, stress free date, this is the one to book!

The cable car experience was enjoyable and the host company/tour driver was on time and very professional. However, the stop for the wine tasting was not what was expected. I think starting early in the morning wine tasting didn't set the right expectations. Also the wine tasting location, the staff were preoccupied setting up the location, they didn't really give you an experience of the wines on diaplay
