A Game Drive Plus White Rhino Short Walk

We did the tour with BUSH WILDERNESS SAFARI. At the beginning, we were kind of disappointed: we were at 8:30am in the pickup point and they show up about 20 minutes later (we were the only guests in the 4x4). Then when we were at the entrance of the park, at 9am, they said the safari would finish at 11:30am, (2 hours and a half and not 3 hours as explained in the description of what we had booked). We complained and they tried to convince us that if we start at 9am and it was 3 hours, we will finish at 11am (9-10-11, 3 hours…no comments). We had to be firm on our claim, otherwise… Bad way to start a safari.
During the safari, we receive a lot of info about the animals, and we were able to see impalas, zebras, baboons, a herd of maybe 50 elefants by the river, 3 giraffes, wild hogs, bushbucks and monkeys, so we were happy with the animals we met. We also went to see 5 rhinos, and had a very short walk towards them and the rangers, took the pics and came back to the 4x4, everything in about 10-15 min. In the middle, we had the 20 min picnic by the river, but there was only a juice, water and potato chips. At the end, we stood 3 hours and 15 minutes inside the park.

The trip was very beautiful and worth it.. We saw many animals among three of the big five. The guide was very knowledgeable and willing to answer any question you might have. Ask Oscar to be the guide!

The game drive itself met my expectations and our guide (Lacken) was one of the best I’ve had on any safari.

I had a less positive experience with the tour company. First, I was contacted the day before and told that the drive had a two-person minimum, so I must either pay double or change to a different time. Second, my pickup time at the hotel was changed multiple times and they ultimately arrived 10 minutes before the agreed time. Third, please note that you are also responsible for paying for the 15 USD park entrance fee, which is not included in the tour price and this was not mentioned in the description.

It was incredible! They collected ontime with good prior communication.

This was one of the best experiences we have ever had! Within our few hours, we saw way more animals than we thought we could and so close to us! Our guide was super informative and was always willing to stop another place to make sure we saw everything. We would recommend this to everyone.

It was an amazing experience! Thomas, the guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We loved the rhinos!! They are truly impressive and even with kids it was possible to get close to them.

We so enjoyed the opportunity to visit the park and the white rhinos. It was a remarkable experience we will not soon forget.

Booked this the last minute because we were not sure if kids were allowed (the site on trip advisor only had adults pricing and had no drop down choice for kids) for this safari. I emailed Nick of Bush Wilderness Safaris and got a quick reply and we soon set up everything after some exchanges. Children fees turned out to be half the price which we appreciated.
We were picked up by Nick on the set date and soon we were at the Mosi-oa-Tunya National park for our safari. We were met by our park guide there (I forget his name) and started our drive. We had the vehicle all to ourselves and the private tour was fantastic! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the different wildlife that can be seen in the park and he really had very keen eyes, spotting animals near and far. And there were a lot to see... from buffalos to giraffes, impalas, kumba (warthog) different birds, monkeys, elephants, zebra and many more! Not only did we spot all those, there were a minefield of new facts and information that we learned about these different animals. One of the highlights of the safari was of course the close encounter with the white rhinos! We saw the entire crash, with a very small baby rhino together with the herd. We had a small picnic by the river with some drinks and snacks for everybody before we headed back and ended the roughly 3-hour tour.
It might seem like a short tour, but for our kids 10 and 12 years old, it’s just the right time for them to keep interested (and not get too tired) and although short, it didn’t feel hurried, with Nick and our guide, catering to our questions and requests to stop for pictures (or to take pictures of us). It was a perfect first safari for us, jampacked with a lot of spectacular sightings of amazing wildlife! Overall we were very happy with the tour and even after, we consulted Nick and Lorraine with planning other activities. They were very helpful in really answering our questions on how to go about around town and in helping us overall in our vacation. Thank you Nick and Lorraine for the very professional, yet personal assistance you rendered to us! Much appreciated and highly recommended!

Being an individual traveler, it was difficult to find a company that would accommodate me. Not only was I accommodated, I had my own personal experience as someone else had canceled. They were very responsive through email, even emailing back the night before within 5 minutes. The trip itself was amazing! They picked me up right on time from the front of my hotel. I was provided with great cold water. Both guides were extremely nice and knowledgeable about the animals and the area! I got the best pictures and had the best time. I will be recommending them to my friends and family and I will definitely be using them on my next trip to Livingstone!

Nick planned a fantastic day for us. We were picked up from our hotel and guided across the border to the park in Zambia where we met up with a local park guide, Niston, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and trees. Saw many more animals than expected and heard all kinds of fun stories. Nick took us to the Livingstone Museum, a super lunch spot, a local market, found us an ATM and then on way back to the hotel arranged a last minute boat tour for us in the evening. I was delighted at how smooth and entertaining everything was. Of our whole trip, it was the one day I felt like I got to meet locals and really understand more about the places we were seeing.

Nickson arranged everything we wanted to do in Zambia for a day trip and accompanied us on each activity as the local handler.

He personally met with me at my hotel to plan a day in Zambia. He arranged everything for a morning trip through Mosi -oa- Tunya National Park, including an excellent driver who was able to explain everything we were seeing. We were able to meet the park rangers guarding the white rhinos and walk within 50 feet of the herd.

After the drive he arranged a tour of Livingston (including the Livingston Museum) and lunch at a local place serving authentic Zambian food. At the end of the day he arranged a river cruise on the Zambezi.

He was able to handle all the details, arrangements, visas, and transfers. Everything went smoothly. He even helped other people around us when he noticed they were being cheated by their guides. I'd definitely use him again.

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had! An amazing game drive which ended up with viewing the Rhino’s up close. We even got to see a baby Rhino been fed by their mum. Such an awesome experience! I’ll definitely do it again! 🦏 😍
