One day before our guide will contact you and get the location of your hotel or any accommodation in Baku.Quba is attractive with its green nature, forests and mountain areas which is a part of range of Caucasus Mountains. On the way you will see Five Finger "Beshbarmag Dag".On the way to Guba, our guests will visit the unique settlement of Jews in mountains, "Caucasian Jerusalem" - the Red Town. Next you will visit Qechresh which is one of the largest villages in the Guba region where is the area covered with forest on all sides.It is also possible to catch fish in Gudjalchay, which gives a special beauty to the village. The final destination Khinalig village among the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world, with a history spanning over 5,000 years so you will visit Europe's Highest village Khinalig and will taste traditional foods at local's house.Travelling here you will discover an intriguing local culture while experiencing the full majesty of the Caucasus Mountains.

Gosha Gala Tower

We pick up from central hotels in Baku exept Hotels that aresituated in the Old City and near by. That guests are coming to the Double Gates - main gates of the Old City (Qosha Qala qapisi)

Besh Barmag Mountain
10 minutes
Driving along the M1 motorway connecting the capital of Azerbaijan with the largest cities of Russia, you will see the mountain Beshbarmak, located near the coast of the Caspian Sea. Beshbarmak is a place of pilgrimage for the local population and thanks to its height and shape has been an excellent reference point for sailors since ancient times. The holy place “Pir Hydyr Zundzha” is located at the foot of the Beshbarmag Mountain, where the travelers stop to perform prayers and worship. Your professional guide will tell you the mythical stories associated with this place.

Candy Cane Mountain

The Candy Cane Mountains are shale mountains in the Khizi and Siyazan districts of Azerbaijan, part of the Greater Caucasus mountain range. The 'Candy Cane Mountains' were originally dubbed so by travel author Mark Elliott in his guidebook 'Azerbaijan with Excursions to Georgia'. The mountains' colors are produced by groundwater that alters the oxidation state of the iron compounds in the earth.

Eagle Height: Watch out for the eagles that fly through the Northern Caucasus mountains and which have become a symbol of the region. The eagles can come very close to vehicles driving up through the valleys.

Qirmizi Qasaba

The next destination will be Guba city, which is located in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Azerbaijan. On the way to Guba, our guests will visit the unique settlement of Jews in mountains, "Caucasian Jerusalem" - the Red Town. The village has 13 synagogues, among which two are operational. There are about 4-5 thousand Jews live in Qirmizi Qesebe that is symbol of pluralism in Azerbaijan and symbol of peace and harmony among the different religions.

Qechresh

Qechresh is one of the largest villages in the Guba region.The area is covered with forest on all sides. Qechresh is famous for its natural springs and plants. Along the road, there are recreation areas and restaurants where you can sample the local cuisine.

Tengealti

If you go further from Gechresh forest, you find yourself in the Gudyalchay canyons: steep ascents and descents of the road pass through the steep walls of the gorge.The road that passes through two mountains, steep cliffs as well as beautify forest make the view of this village charming.

State Historical, Architectural and Ethnographic Reserve Khinalig

Our guests can visit the historical-ethnographic museum that was established in 2001 by residents of the Khinalug village.Rare historical exhibits, archaeological and ethnographical materials, and also carpets and kilims, various house utensils, pottery and ceramic dishes, stone books, etc., have been collected in the museum with help of residents of the village. The most interesting exhibit of the museum, attracting many tourists to the village, are manuscript books dated to the 15th–20th centuries and they evidence that the past of the village was closely related to science.While visiting Khinalig village, visitors should take a look at the mosques, which are like large houses and don’t have minarets. The largest one, Joma, was renovated back in the 1960s.The ancient graveyard is also interesting, where ancient markings and alphabets can be found.

Khinalug

In winter or during heavy rain, we will need to switch to a Soviet off-road vehicle to reach Khinalug!!!
The mountain village of Khinalig, which is included in the list of UNESCO historical monuments of world importance. With its inaccessibility, unique language, unique architectural appearance, and culture, the village attracts tourists from all over the world. Since 2007, Khinalig has been declared an ethnographic reserve. The most unusual here is the houses located on the top of the mountain in the form of an amphitheater. They look like eagle’s nests: built on a slope close to each other, here the roof of one house serves as a courtyard for another located above.On the way to Khinalig, you can often see eagles flying overhead, wild horses galloping along the banks of stony rivers and clouds descending so low that sometimes they can even be touched. And your lunch will be Azerbaijan traditional local foods at local people's home.
