Guided Cycle Tour of Guangzhou

bike tour with another couple through the streets of Guangzhou. As a newbie it was a good start and the tour was informative, fun and the pace was just right.

I've done similar tours in Shanghai, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Alaska, and even Riga, and this one, in Guangzhou, was nice as well.

It is a great way to see any city, and the route through parts of Guangzhou were likewise interesting and parts which I otherwise wouldn't necessarily see on my own.

Organized and efficient, I would recommend it to someone who has been to the city and looking to try something different, or to someone who is on their first visit to Guangzhou, as either way, it is a nice experience...

My husband and I like this tour very much,interesting and fun ,hope someday we can bring our family member to visit again,the tour provides a lot of info ,can see the streets that we can't find by ourselves, it's good to see something out off beaten path,highly recommended.

The tour guide didn't speak any English and the service was so poor, we didn't understood what the school and museum were for, the guide didn't said anything to us for those two places.. and also the guide didn't gave us any bottle of water. The bikes were in bad condition and so dirty, they uses the cheap public bikes, the guide took us to the dangerous cycling route, there were so many cars running just next to us which was not safe, we are really disappointed on the management.

The rouths were safe and easy to ride. I got to learn more about the city. Big thanks to Bram and Cherry and the team who were wonderful guides for my friends and I. If you ever come to GZ, do not miss this!

Saw interesting back streets that you wouldn't have normally. Worthwhile but guide whilst friendly lacked detailed information a skipped past things that appeared interesting. Would be great to have wireless commentary which is easily done. With little effort could be 5 star plus.

Gentle place and managed to avoid hazards on quiet route. Cherie was very enthusiastic and keen to share her home city. Lots of interest in the route and we felt it was well worthwhile

Got us off the beaten track and into the back alleys & streets - great experience and what we wanted. It could of been so much better if there was more information from Cherry, our guide, on cultural and life experienced along the trip. In this day and age I think an audio link from guide to everyone with a more informative commentary would really make this a 5 star plus attraction.

I had a wonderful time today on the bike tour run by Cycle Canton. I was the only one on the trip and my guide made sure it was a safe, fun and informative tour at all times. I enjoyed seeing parts of Guangzhou that you wouldn’t normally see such as the alleyways and food markets. It was really like experiencing the real city like a local. There was so much to see, time passed very quickly. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit Guangzhou and this way they can learn a lot about the history, buildings and how people live. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon!

Only here for a week after travelling around China for 3 months with work. This tour seemed just the job to see as much as possible of Guangzhou in our last week in China.
This was a great day the weather was warm and dry and our guide Cherry was lovely, welcoming and informative.
You set off after a brief explanation of the route and stops along the way. I am a novice cyclist having only been on a bike a couple of times, after a shaky start I soon got into the swing of things. Cherry was attentive and patient with me as I followed her and Paul through the busy streets and cycle lanes to get to the old town lanes of Guangzhou. If traditional is what your looking for, you will not be disappointed. Along the way Cherry talks about the old buildings, economic problems facing residents and points out places of interest.
It’s totally fascinating and I was constantly stopping to take photos and video, which Cherry was happy to accommodate. We visited the kungfu school and had a quick lesson, we watched a music group perform in a citizens temple. The walk around the traditional market was fascinating with scorpions, snakes and many other Chinese delicacy’s for sale. We stopped in the people’s park for a picnic and watched groups of people playing traditional ball games and dancing. Along the river bank old and young were getting fit, playing ping pong, singing and dancing. If we ever came back here I’d do this tour again. There’s so much to see I know I missed some of it concentrating on my cycling! It’s a great introduction to the authentic China lifestyle. These are places you wouldn’t see or come across without a locals help. In our opinion this tour is definitely worth the money, it’s not always about another tourist temple this was a refreshing insight into real peoples lives. Try it we don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Our guide Cherry was wonderful and they really care for your safety. It was nice that we weren’t on roads for most of the time too. Definitely suggest this tour :)

I was glad I took this tour, because my guide, Cherry, showed me many parts of the city that I would never be able to find by myself. In particular, the route goes through back alleyways and side roads that also contain interesting or historical sites. I was also delighted that I got a quick lesson in using the kung fu wooden dummy from an expert!

I had a one day transit stop and this was a great way for me to see the city in a day. The guides can speak english well and have really good knowledge of the city, it's a fun ride with lots packed in, it may get tiring for some on hot days but if you can do it, it's well worth it. The directions on the website to get to the meeting point are also very handy, it's very easy to find the spot, in case you're worried about that.

I really enjoyed it, I saw sights from the traditional side of Guangzhou to the most modern. The paths were all safe and clean. The guide was good! A great way indeed to see Guangzhou. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend this tour. I was in town for the canton fair and wanted to see the sights of Guangzhou. The tour was a good mix of everything and was also very informative. No 1 must do whilst in Canton. Thank you so much Cycle Canton, you made my trip

What a great time we had. A great way to experience and see the city. Very safe and enjoyable. The food was a nice added touch, would recommend to anyone padding through with a temporary visa on hold over.

We only had one day here in Guangzhou and this cycling tour was a fantastic way to explore the old and new of this beautiful city. We would have never found the hidden gems this city has to offer without our wonderful guide Cherry!
