It was added to the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites on 22 June 2014. Stepwells are a distinctive form of subterranean water resource and storage systems on the Indian subcontinent, and have been constructed since the third millennium BC. Rani ki vav was built in the complex Maru-Gurjara architectural style with an inverted temple and seven levels of stairs and holds more than 500 principal sculptures. Evening drop will be provided to your hotel / airport in Ahmadabad.

This place is an hour drive from ahmedabad. The stepwell has many temples with beautiful and intricate carvings

Patan is more than an hours drive from Ahamedabad but this stepwell and the Jain temples and carved wooden temples are worth the travelSo intricately carved walls will leave you in awe thinking how talented people were back then so many centuries ago. Every surface is adorned with finely chiseled sculptures. So much history. Worth the travel.
