What You Will Do
Experience Japanese culture through Zazen at Kinryuji, a historic Japanese Zen temple with a rich history spanning more than 400 years.
Are you familiar with Zazen? Zazen is a traditional practice used to calm the mind and promote relaxation.
Asakusa is one of Tokyo's main tourist destinations, yet it is also a place where the culture of Zazen has deep roots.
In this tour, we will take you on a journey to explore Asakusa’s famous attractions, while also guiding you to a peaceful Zen temple away from the hustle and bustle, allowing you to fully immerse in the culture.
Zazen requires correct posture and breathing, and since a real monk will guide you, you'll be able to learn the proper techniques. Furthermore, to deepen your experience of Japanese culture, you’ll also learn how to enjoy matcha tea.
After Zazen, you’ll have a chance to spend talking time with the monk. Ask any questions or share your thoughts, and learn how to incorporate the wisdom of Zen into your everyday life.
