Mt FUJI Day Tour with Private Car and English Speaking Guide

Imran was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the area. Flexible with our time schedule, so we could spend as much or as little time as we wanted in the various locations. The views were spectacular! Well worth the money.

Our tour with Imran was great. He took us to fantastic spots and was able to explain the history behind each of them. Would definitely recommend this tour with Imran.

Ali our tour guide was AMAZING! He knew all the pictures and tourist spots to Mt Fuji. He also was very knowledgeable. Beyond happy with our experience! Definitely would recommend booking with Ali is possible

This trip was taken my wife, a friend from medical school, and myself in late April as part of the three person tour. I will try and give an honest review listing the PROs and CONs of the trip:

PROS:
- Great weather for viewing Mt. Fuji. Could see it throughout the trip, with a clear sky, and no blockage.
- Locations of the tour are some of the better areas to see the mountain, and if that is all you care about then its a good idea for you.
- Vehicle we took was air conditioned and clean.
- Tour guide did make sure we had bathroom breaks.
- Driving was safe and multiple times we were dropped off close to locations without having to walk a far distance.

CONS:
- Guide made us feel uncomfortable. I guess when I read that it would be an English speaking guide, I assumed it would be a Japanese person who spoke English. This was a mistake on my part, and after reading other reviews and seeing the names of the guides you realize quickly none of these guides are Japanese. This would have been fine, but our guide mumbled in a somewhat thick accent, making understanding of what he was saying difficult. There was very little information provided about the sites during the tour.
- Guide pressured us to leave earlier than the original set time via messages the night before. I understand traffic had to be considered, but we had just got into town the night before and were all heavily jet lagged, and did not want to leave as early as possible. This led to us coming back later and hitting bad traffic. Guide was clearing frustrated on the drive home.
- Guide tried to upsell us on a motorboat tour at Lake Kawaguchiko for 7000 JPY. Not worth it in my opinion to take a 20 minute motorboat drive around the lake. If you have never been on a boat and want that picture of Mt Fuji from the lake then maybe it would be worth it for you.
- Too many people. I don't blame this on the tour or guide. Most stops were so overpopulated that it ruined it. Oshino Hakkai for example didn't look like a quaint village, it looked like a highway stop overran by tourists. I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, and we kind of got annoyed the guide kept pointing at the fish.
- Tour guide at one point sensed our frustrations with him, and instead of giving us space said that we needed to learn to enjoy ourselves...
- Tour guide before the tour being ended on the drive back was somewhat pressuring us to write us a review, and then screenshot it to him. Made me uncomfortable again.

Overall, I did not feel the value of this experience was overpriced. We got to all of the locations, had a full day of being driven around, and had a comfortable/clean air conditioned vehicle. I do not think however what we received should be classified as as a "tour." I think I would have preferred that it would be classified as a private car with english speaking driver, with pre-planned stops. By the end of the trip, we felt more like we were being held hostage by the driver, than we were enjoying a tour.

Based on reading reviews, it sounds like some of the other drivers are a better option. I will not name my driver, but just take some of my points into consideration when choosing this tour.

Mt. Fuji is a must see. My family did enjoy the scenery, however, we did not learn much from our tour guide. Umar, who was extremely nice and accommodating, did not provide much facts/history/legends for any of the sights on the itinerary. We had to look up most of the information on the Internet.

Our driver Amir was wonderful! He was an exceptional driver, extremely pleasant and polite.
He introduced us to a great lunch spot and terrific ice cream and wonderful gardens as well as historic sites.
He is worth the keep!

Great Trip! The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different sites we were able to explore. He was also very flexible with the timeframes. He allowed us to spend more time exploring the areas we were most interested in without feeling rushed, but he was still able to keep our overall schedule on pace. He was also kind enough to not only point out the best photo opportunities and locations, but he also took many photos of us, for us. Zubi was an excellent guide and we would be happy to explore more of Japan with him.

The guide pointed out optimal location to stand for taking pictures. Also assisted in taking these photos. Very knowledgeable about the different locations and the history behind it. I highly recommend you book this tour.

awesome and beautiful. at end of blossom season so not much left. only regret was this. Omer was helpful and sweet and knew where to park! best to leave early like 7 a.m. as we were able to stayahead of traffic and other tours. bring lots of water and layers of cothing depending on season. and yen. some places in areas visit didn't take credit cards.

Our Mt Fuji tour was full of wonderful experiences, including beautiful cherry blossoms, a historical village, a scenic cable car ride, stunning gardens, and even lavender ice cream!

Umar was our guide for the day — he was patient, helpful, and always happy to answer our questions and share extra insights along the way.

He also went the extra mile to arrange a baby seat for us, which we really appreciated.

Would definitely recommend!

Unfortunately the wheather was cloudy and we haven't seen Mont Fuji... Hopefully the driver was professional and polite. The car confortable but old and a bit dirty.

Ali was a fantastic guide. He took us to all the great spots, lunch recommendations were spot on and even got the clouds to part for a wonderful photo opportunity of Mt Fuji. Highly recommended this tour and guide!

Amazing trip! Adeel was the perfect driver and host. He knew exactly where to go and when to go there to see Mt Fuji at its finest. Even gave super valuable tips on photography (and took many pics for us). He was friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke good English and Japanese. Thank you Adeel.

The tour was excellent. Properly curated locations to take in Mt. Fuji from different perspectives. Ali was on time and a great tour guide. He offered to take pictures for us which were excellent (he knew all the right spots). He is very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. We felt safe with him and would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to take this tour.

This was a great tour for everyone who enjoys a nice trip. With a perfect tour guide called Usman.
He took us to all places we wanted to see. We were verry happy with this tour.
