This tour was not only the highlight of my trip to Malaysia, but it was easily the best tour I've ever been on. I'm generally not a fan of guided tours. However, this was my first trip to KL and I didn't feel like figuring it all out on my own.
The morning of my tour, there was some confusion about date / timing. I started to get a little worried, but Elena quickly set things right. The tour started at MATIC as planned. Elena began with a safety briefing and instructions about hand signals, all of which I promptly forgot due to my jetlag fueled exhaustion. They provided helmet, safety vest, water, and bicycle.
We were quickly on our way, first riding on the sidewalk, then the bike lane, and then in traffic! I had read that KL was not pedestrian friendly and not bicycle friendly. I found that cars were more respectful of cyclists there than in many cities in the US. Just be careful of the scooter drivers, they are lawless!
Tour stops included some colonial buildings, the river junction / bridge, Chinatown, a Mosque, and a village within the city. My favorite was the food. We had some Chinese snacks toward the beginning and then some Malaysian noodles toward the end. The descriptions on the website do it more justice.
Elena is a great story teller, and provided various anecdotes related to the places we stopped. I learned about KL's history from its founding to some more recent happenings.
The tour pace is moderate, not too fast, not too slow. There are no hills and it is not a great distance. I recommend these tours to anyone who is comfortable riding a bike leisurely around town; you don't need to be an avid cyclist.

Very well curated tour which allowed us to explore the nooks and crannies of KL city, from the history of Kuala Lumpur's beginnings to the story behind the food that we had, Elena was so passionate and delighted to share all the intrinsic details. 110% recommended with two-thumbs up!

Great time seeing kl sites and learning about the religions of Malaysia. Easy ride, great guide. Recommend weekend morning time.

My husband, 14 years old son and I had a wonderful cycling and tasting tour with Elena and Simon visiting beautiful temples, hidden architecture,a mosque, old village and tasting popular treats and dishes of Kuala Lumpur. We learnt a lot about the origins of Malay people their culture religions and influences. Both educational with history, flora and fauna facts about the area and what is used in local dishes.
