The Urban Museum or UR-MU is a one-of-a-kind quirky contemporary art museum in Kuala Lumpur. UR-MU houses a private collection of artworks and eclectic objects from an art patron, conveying the aspirations and moods of the city. It is located in the prosperous lifestyle district known as the Golden Triangle, highly regarded as a must-visit place in KL.

Ur-Mu is located at 3, Jalan Bedara, Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur. Look for a tall building cladded with glass. Its best to get to Ur-Mu via public transports (MRT Bukit Bintang, Exit F) or E-Hailing as there is limited parking available around the vicinity.

Visitors will make their way through Ur-Mu at their own pace, the time limit for each booking is 1 hour 30 minutes. Please take your time to be captivated and inspired by all forms of art here at Ur-MU. Visitors will travel through 5 Level of themed gallery rooms of curated art and sculpture and will end their visit with a stunning view of Menara Kuala Lumpur at the roof top sculpture lounge.

Urban museum in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. The atmosphere here was great and we felt that all kinds of people are welcome. If You enjoy a bit quirky art, I can totally recommend this place. The entrance fee was cheap too.

Each floor has a theme with about 15-20 works of art and sculpture. There is something for everyone and my 10 year old enjoyed it (especially the comfortable chairs at each level that one can lounge on while appreciating the artwork!). The roof garden at the top is beautiful, relaxing space - and you get a great picture of the KL tower from the balcony. Do visit and enjoy!
PS. Given the launch of the new Rolling Stones album this month it is perhaps appropriate to drop by and see the "Save the Tiger" sculpture by Ronnie Wood!
