Eagle Square

The icon of Langkawi, Eagle Square or locally known as Dataran Lang is the home for Langkawi’s giant statue of an eagle which according to old folklore where Langkawi get its name from : The two Malay words – ‘helang’ (eagle) and ‘kawi’ (reddish brown): hence lang-kawi.
Perched 12 meters above the star shaped concrete deck overlooking the Kuah Jetty, the eagle is always a welcoming icon for every traveller coming into Langkawi. Visitors can get up close to the base of the statue for their holiday photo. Since the square is open to public almost all the times, you can snap all the pictures you want!

Durian Perangin Waterfall

Durian Perangin waterfall is situated on the north eastern part of Langkawi and doesn’t smell or taste like Durian at all. The name is a result of the tall durian trees that grow in the forests near the waterfall. Durian Perangin is a multi-tiered waterfall and each cascade makes a freshwater pool at its base. It is slanted towards the northern part of Gunung Raya, the highest mountain peak in Langkawi. The waterfall is surrounded by intriguing rock formations and dense forest. The water of Durian Perangin is cool and refreshing which makes it a popular spot among locals for picnics or a quiet day away.

Tanjung Rhu Beach

Langkawi Sky Bridge is a 125-metre (410 ft) curved pedestrian cable-stayed bridge in Malaysia, completed in 2005.[3] The bridge deck is 660 metres (2,170 ft) above sea level at the peak of Gunung Mat Cincang on Pulau Langkawi, the main island of the Langkawi archipelago in Kedah.[4] The Langkawi Sky Bridge can be reached by first taking the Langkawi Cable Car to the Top Station, where an inclined lift called SkyGlide takes visitors from the Top Station down to the bridge.
