I have nothing but great things to say about my three days tour with Oman Vista Tours.

I reached out to Khalifa three days only before my flight and on a such short notice he was more than willing to arrange and help with preparing a full itinerary for the duration of my stay.

I definitely would not have seen Oman the way I did if it was not for Khalifa and also Marwan, both were punctual, accommodating and easygoing.

Khalifa in particular enriched the experience with the various conversations that we had along the way and also the unplanned detours that were made on the spot during the tour to show more of Oman and what it has to offer.
He also shared a lot of suggestions on activities that I can partake in based on my interests.

Oman Vista Tour is made of a wonderful team and I am definitely going to recommend them to anyone who is planning on visiting Oman and experiencing it as it is meant to be.

Overall, I really enjoyed my short stay and I am definitely planning on going back soon.

Our half day Muscat City tour turned into an elaborate Full day trip with Qais Al Sabahi. Qais is not only knowledgeable about Oman and GCC but is also personable, smart and fluent in English (graduated from the US). By the day’s end we became friends exchanging more information- professional / social/ environmental over cups of coffee and dates. I would recommend Qais any day to English speaking western travelers.

This trip has been just so so amazing, had no idea we would be blessed wih meeting him as our guide an also was our friend by the end of the trip. He was more than helpful an so accommodative. Would advise anyone who needs a good tour guide must take his help to go around. He was more steps ahead than what we expected.

This was a very well organised half day tour of Muscat. All the key sights were covered in great detail. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend!

I searched on tripadvisor. My family and I booked a 5 day tour around Oman. Khalifa was very welcoming and helpful. He showed us parts of Oman and explained traditions/history. It was indeed a memorable experience. He speaks good English and always willing to help.

We are just back from our week in Oman. It was one of the best experience thanks to Khalifa. We found the name and contacts of Mr Khalifa here on Tripadvisor. I contacted him per email 2 months before. He answers very quickly and he can suggest the best for our tour. He picked up from airport the first day and after the visit to the Mosque, he invited us to his house. It was the first day after Ramadan, an important celebration for oman people. We tried all special dishes they cook in these important days. We are so grateful to have the possibility to live such an amazing experience. We did also a 4 days tour with him with his confortable 4x4 car (we are 5). Everything was perfect, altought the meteo wasn't always good he always found the best solutions to adjust the itinerary accordingly. Khalifa adds value to the trip, we learned a lot from him about local culture. Oman people are so kind and gentle and to be in touch with a person like Khalifa gives you the possibility to live Oman in a true way. We couldn't have asked more!!!!

We had a 10-day tailor-made tour of Oman with Khalifa and fell in love with this beautiful country and its friendly people. And this love would not be so strong if it were not for Khalifa.
From the very beginning Khalifa responded promptly to all our emails, respected all our wishes, even changed the days in our itinerary several times (after the itinerary was already set) so that we could attend some activities (eg Nizwa Goat Market ) or have available accommodation in mountainous parts of the country. So he was more than flexible and all arrangements went very smoothly.
He picked us up at the airport upon arrival and also arranged transportation to the airport for our departure with his colleague.
During the tour, he tried to get to know us as much as possible so that he could arrange our days as best suits us, and he largely succeeded in this.
On the other hand, his English is very good, so it was a pleasure to talk to him, not only to hear from him about Omani traditions, customs, religion (and he has a wide knowledge), but also to exchange opinions on many topics of our mutual interest.
Khalifa is an excellent and safe driver and has a large and comfortable 4x4 car so even the off-road drives (and we did a lot of them) were extremely pleasant.
On our last day he showed us "his Muscat" and invited us to his house for an afternoon meal and it was such a pleasure.
Therefore, if you want to experience the real Oman, see its many hidden gems off the main tourist tracks and enjoy every moment of your stay, do not hesitate and contact Khalifa immediately. I am sure you will be more than satisfied. Our expectations have been exceeded, I can confirm.

Khalifa helped us to organize our trip to Oman but unfortunately he was already booked and so we could only do some visit of Muscat and Nizwa fort and city.
He introduced us to Marwan to take us around Oman in a 5 days tour , which was a real good experience.
All in all , we felt we had somebody to reach for in case of help , as it actually happened. He replied our msg immediately.

My mom and I went on Khalifa’s excellent tour of Muscat. He picked us up at our hotel for the tour which started with a visit to the Grand Mosque. Khalifa was very thorough and patient in explaining the Omani influences in the architecture as well as the different ceramic styles from the Arabian Peninsula and other parts of the Islamic world (Central Asia, Turkey, etc.). He also explained the practice of Islam at the mosque, etc. We learned a lot! We also had a wonderful tour of the Opera House. The Muscat City Tour ended with a visit to Old Muscat and Bait Al Zubair. Khalifa connected the exhibits at the exquisite Bait Al Zubair with examples from his own experiences growing up. For instance in an exhibit on the unique colours and styles of clothing that had been worn by Omani women in different regions of the country prior to a more uniform style becoming prevalent, he pointed to what his mother had worn. When my mom asked what a particular item on display was, Khalifa explained it was utilized in Omani homes to burn incense under and for the scent to waft throughout the residence. He really personalized our experience in Muscat!

After the tour, we booked transfers with Khalifa from the hotel to the airport. My mom is in her 80s and her mobility was affected from a fall and injury a few weeks earlier in Dubai. As my mom and I were on different flights home. I was concerned about my mom navigating through the airport on her own. On his own accord, Khalifa got my mom and her luggage to the Qatar Airways check-in and made sure she was both in the right place and had further assistance from the Qatar Airways staff before he left the airport. He also sent me a photo of her in the Qatar Airways line via WhatsApp, which was very reassuring.

We had a four day tour of Oman with Khalifa and also a Muscat day tour. It was an amazing way to see the beautiful country. Khalifa organised the itinerary and was flexible to tailor the tour to our interests and desires. We have just came back from 5 days trip in Oman with Mr. Khalifa. This was an amazing experience. Oman is a beautiful country and Khalifa was undoubtedly the best guide to show us the country he knows and loves so much.
I found Mr.Khlaifa's name browsing trip advisor's Oman forum. All reviews were excelent so I contacted Mr. Khalifa by email. After a few email exchange we agreed on 4 nights 5 days itinerary around Oman plus a tour of Muscat. Khalifa has always responded promptly and provided his suggestions.
Our flight was delayed so we have arrived to Oman 1 day later. Khalifa met us at the airport and we started our tour next morning. Khalifa came up with a suggestion how to fit our 6 days original itinerary into 5 days so we would see everything we have planned.
It is very rare to find a guide who gladly shares his knowledge and who you can talk to freely and receive an honest and thoughtful response. We discussed with Khalifa history, culture, religion and Khalifa openly shared his views, beliefs and understanding. We could agree and disagree on some of the topics but it was always a respectful and honest conversation which is not an easy task considering different upbringing, religion and education. It was very interesting to learn about islamic religion, traditions and culture form the local guide.
Khalifa took good care of us during our tour, checking that we are good and safe during our hikes and helping my husband in wadis when he needed some help. Khalifa took us to local places for lunches, considering our preferences and making sure we try various local cousin.

We waited almost 4 years to get to Oman (due to covid), and it was worth it.
We had two long half day tours with Khalifa, plus an evening with a supper prepared by his wife.

Khalifa is a professional guide, but more than that, he is a traditional man of Muscat (his family were fishermen and have been for generations). This combination means you get to hear stories of the traditional Oman and the new - the real evolution of this amazing country.

From our meeting at the airport to our last supper, we felt that Khalifa wanted to ensure that we saw the very best that Muscat had to offer. It was tailored to our specific interests because he listened to what we wanted from our tours and he took his time to give us the best experience.

He also gave us good advice for our own time driving round the country - his knowledge is nationwide - I am sure it would be fascinating to tour more of the country with him.

We have just returned from a 4-night holiday in Oman. We found Khalifa's name browsing around the Oman forums on Tripadvisor. As all the reviews were very good we contacted him to organize our trip.

We went to Oman to celebrate my father's 80th birthday, so it was me, my husband, my boys of 15 and 12 years of age, my brother and my dad.

Khalifa replied promptly to all my requests and sent us a thorough itinerary to cover the best of the country with the time we had at our disposal.

Once in Oman he took us around in his great, powerful and comfortable 7-seater vehicle sharing his deep knowledge about this fascinating country and its traditions.

He went at great lengths to show us around. One day he had an emergency and had to return to Muscat but managed to leave us with a colleague of his that was as good as he was. We enjoyed the beauty of this intriguing country has to offer and had a great time, all thanks to Khalifa's experience and organization. It was extremely interesting to learn about the islamic culture and its traditions through the eyes of a local muslim. We learnt a lot.

When I asked to help in finding perfume and make-up, he was extremely helpful and resourceful looking for the best place to buy it in the souk and even gave me some special make-up product through his wife.

It does not happen very often that one can say “nothing to take and nothing to add” but our experience with Khalifa was exactly like that!
It is not easy task to be a good, successful guide: this job requires multiple skills - knowledge, patience, personal charm, awareness when and what to say taking in consideration different roots, religion and education. Finding perfect balance of all of mentioned is almost “mission impossible” but Khalifa did it!
He is undoubtedly very knowledgable person most willing to answer any question that two curious people have asked him. I do thank him this way for a most enjoyable day in Muscat and especially for most tasteful lunch prepared by his wife and his sister. I’m sure that we’ll be back and engage him again, next time hopefully for longer period.

This was, by far, the most authentic travel experience I have ever had. Our guide, Khalifa was so easy to communicate with BEFORE we arrived in Oman and during! He asked about what we were interested in and made suggestions. At no point did we feel lost, unsafe or like we were missing out.

Khalifa picked us up from the hotel in the morning, took us to our desired locations and returned us back to the hotel. We visited Jebel AlAkhdar, Nizwa Fort, Wadi Shab and my personal fav Misfah Village. We visited other locations along the way too. We had only been in Oman for two nights and yet we had seen so much!

If you are looking for a more authentic experience and want to see the real beauty that Oman has to offer, I would highly recommend!
