What You Will Do

This excursion combines the three most popular Buddhist temples in Bangkok. Start the tour with a visit to the Royal Grand Palace, a great architectural masterpiece of several buildings from the outside and a magical inside, which was used as a royal residence from the 18th century to the mid-20th century. It is without any doubt a national reference and possibly the most visited royal monument of Thailand, which shouldn’t be missed. The building houses "Wat Po", Bangkok's oldest temple, in which is located the famous gold leaf-covered reclining Buddha. This tour includes also the temple "Wat Traimit" with its 5.5-ton Golden Buddha. On the way back you will have a chance to see many magnificent temples and architectural buildings, for example the City Pillar Shrine, National Museum, Democracy Monument, Golden Mountain, and the Parliament House along Ratchadamnoen Road (The Royal’s Way).

While the temples it self...

While the temples it self were beautiful but the tour guide was a racist. He had offended us by stating we do not look “American” like the Caucasians in the group since we were Asian. It was offensive and uncalled for. He needed to be educated on America’s history of being a melting pot. Will not recommend this tour if this is the tour guide for all future Viator Bangkok temple tours.
Even better with a guide!

We truly enjoyed seeing the beautiful temples and learning the history of the city. Our guide Nort was extremely helpful and informative and his passion for history. Love and pride shown through. I would highly recommend this tour. We had considered going solo and I’m so thankful we went with the guided tour!

North was our efficient and helpful guide which so streamlined our visits. I cannot do stairs easily after knee replacement and he found us elevator access points. It was a small group of 3 since one couple failed to show. The tour began very early which made an even earlier wake up time necessary in order to call and arrange a Bolt pick up to get us into near the center to arrive at one of the few hotels designated for van pickup. However, the early time put us ahead of the many crowds. We were there before opening at ur first temple stop to see the GOLD Buddha. We were given ample time to see what we wanted. With rain a threat north and his helpful driver provided umbrellas for us should we needed them. Even though the Gem Shop at the end was above our budget, the video about Thailand’s gemstones was informative and the extensive showroom was an enjoyable window shopping experience for amazing jewelry that doesn’t fit our casual lifestyle
Thanks north for all the care you took and getting us dropped off at the BTS.
