Dolmabahce Palace
Dolmabahçe Palace, located on the European shore of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, is a magnificent symbol of the Ottoman Empire's modernization. Built in the mid-19th century under Sultan Abdülmecid I, it blends traditional Ottoman architecture with European styles like Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical. The palace is renowned for its grandeur, featuring 285 rooms, 46 halls, and the world’s largest Bohemian crystal chandelier. It served as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire and later as the residence of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey.
