The Residence building at the Residenzplatz used to be the centre of power for many centuries. Guests were invited to grand dinners, chefs cooked festive dishes, wine was tasted and silverware was polished.
Learn about the 17th century when the first cook book of Salzburg was written. You won't believe what kind of food they prepaired.

If youn are interested have a look into the biggest church of Salzburg and be enchanted by the special atmosphere of this unique architecture

St. Peter's Abbey (Stift St. Peter)

Enter a big, quite square and feel the comfort of this Abbey.
Right next to it you will find the oldest Restaurant Europe's, Stiftskeller St.Peter.
Best of all is the OLDEST BAKERY in town - let's try some freshly made sour-dough bread from a log fired oven and listen to the sound of the water mill that is used as an energy source.

VISIT THE FARMERS MARKET:
This square is one of the best areas to find the real locals from Salzburg.
They come here dayily to buy for their fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, bread, cheese and many other delicious regional or home-made food.

Cannot miss the Birthhouse of Salzburg's most famous musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
He himself was a gourmet and loved only the best of food, wine and fashion - not to forget the music

This square is known for a good cup of coffee and a cake, for the famous Mozartkugel - chocholate and for the biggest candy shop in town.
