Stadttempel
The Staddttempel is considered the main synagogue of Vienna due to its longstanding and distinct history. The synagogue was built with the permission of the Emperor in 1826, and designed by the renowned architect Joseph Kornhäusel. It played a decisive role during World War II, as this was the only synagogue in Vienna to survive the Novemberpogrom of 1938.
