Sacred Heart Cathedral

The first monument to be seen in the tour is the biggest Catholic church in Sarajevo, Cathedral of Jesus' Sacred Heart. The Cathedral of Jesus’ Sacred Heart was built in 1889 in the Neo-Gothic style and is the seat of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna.

Emperor's Mosque

The Emperor’s Mosque is Sarajevo’s oldest mosque and one of the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is presumed that Isa Bey Ishaković, the founder of Sarajevo, had this place of worship built soon after the city’s founding in 1462 in honor of Sultan Mehmed II “the Conqueror”.

Latin Bridge

Also known as Principov Most is a place where Gavrilo Princip, who was only a few meters away from this bridge, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sofie. This incident, known as the Sarajevo Assassination, led to the beginning of the First World War.

Gazi-Husrev Beg's Bezistan

Gazi Husrev-beg's bezistan (covered bazaar) is one of the preserved bezistan in Sarajevo from the Ottoman period. Built in 1555 in Baščaršija, bezistan still serves its purpose - trade.

Taslihan was built in 1543 as the Ghazi Husrev-Bey’s waqf. It had a fountain, mosque, yard, shops and storage rooms. It was severely damaged in several fires that struck Sarajevo.
