D-Day Normandy Beaches Day Trip From Paris

About half-way through our drive to Normandy, we will break at a rest stop in Bosgouet where you’ll be able to freshen up and grab a quick coffee or snack.

Upon our arrival at our first stop, Utah Beach, you will have a break to enjoy lunch before taking time to explore Utah Beach and its visitors center. Lunch is not included in the tour price, but you have the option to order anything you like from the menu.

Utah Beach

After your lunch break, you will have the chance to explore the Utah Beach Landing Museum inside a well-preserved German bunker, view the Higgins Boat monument commemorating the amphibious landing craft, and pay respects at the Utah Beach Memorial before going back to the bus to head to your next destination.

Omaha Beach

The second part of your trip will be Omaha Beach, where you’ll be able to explore the visitor’s center followed by a viewing of the wreath-laying ceremony in the cemetery. If you’re lucky, you may even be able to participate in the ceremony! You will also have time to wander around the cemetery before boarding the bus back to Paris.

Once you board the bus, you’ll enjoy a relaxing ride back to Paris, with another rest stop halfway to stretch your legs. Take this time to reflect on everything you have seen and learned during your day in Normandy.

Musee de L'Homme

Your day trip will end outside the anthropology museum where you met your guide at the beginning of the day. From here you can head back to your hotel or one of the surrounding restaurants for a late dinner.
