Highlights of Paris Bike Tour with a Local Guide

This was more memorable than taking the hop on hop off. The guide was very knowledgeable able the history of the landmarks. We could have done this all day. It was not exhausting as we took breaks.

Really enjoyable and informative tour. Both my 10 year old son and I really enjoyed it. A great way to see the key highlights of Paris.

We booked this Bike Tour while staying in Paris, coming from Ireland for the Rugby World Cup. We would recommend this bike tour . A great way to see Paris and the tour guide was brilliant. He brought us around Paris with ease and he was very informative. A must to do .

Just a really superb cycling tour through Paris, pretty exciting at times with the traffic, however safe with cycle lanes etc. Our guide Parvin was fantastic & made the tour what it was, he was knowledgeable & spoke so clearly& answered lots of questions along the way.

We booked two bike tours with Fat Tire in Paris. The first was a tour of the city, which is a great way to see Paris. Unfortunately, there were 17 people on the tour, which is way too many to navigate through Paris’s crazy traffic. At times, it was really scary. Other bike tours we saw had no more than 10 people. Outrage tour guide, Ruben, was great but Fat Tire needs to hire more guides.

The second tour to Versailles was a complete waste of time. Three Fat Tire groups left at the same time: one with 11, one with 10, and our group had 19 people. Why wouldn’t they have made the groups more even? I learned nothing about Versailles that I didn’t already know and the guide had to rush through things to keep things on track. Don’t waste your money on this tour.

Having done previous Fat Tire Bike Tours in Berlin and Barcelona we decided to give Paris a go. Been to Paris several times before and walked, done the bus tour - the cycle tour is a great way to see some of the city. Contacted Fat Tires and managed to change the day of the booking due to weather forecasts - done very smoothly via their App. The tour was great and our guide, Dave from Cork was fantastic - lots of knowledge of the areas, landmarks etc. Would definitely recommend this tour as a way of seeing some of the main sights of Paris.

Excellent bike tour of top Paris sites. Our guide Rueben was exceptionally good because he explained proper bike and navigational rules, gave Excellent overviews of the history at every stop, and was patient and cheerful. Our group of maybe 10, had a 12 year old, 2 teens, and an 80 year old grandma. Everyone did just fine. One of my absolutely best tours!

I own a bike tour company myself (in Oslo), so I can be a bit picky about tours and the quality of guides I expect. Our guide, Olympe, was great: easy-going, in control of the group and full of good history. The operation, from the time we arrived until the time we left, was professionally run and went smoothly. Touring a city by bike is the most efficient way to take in all the sights, and that is especially true for Paris, where there is so much to see relatively close together. The Paris day tour gives you an introduction to the layout of Paris (so that you feel more comfortable doing your own exploring afterwards), as well as the friendliest introduction to French history I’ve ever heard. You hear just enough for it to be useful as you see the sites, but not too much to keep it fun and digestible. Highly recommend this tour, our guide Amir was knowledgeable, careful, and a lot of fun! If you have time to the night tour as well, I recommend it too, as it feels completely different and gives you a new perspective!
