What You Will Do

Discover the "longest bar in the world": In Düsseldorf's old town there are over 260 bars, restaurants, cafés and breweries, as well as everything that creates the flair of a historically grown city. Stroll through the picturesque streets with an expert guide, take a look behind the facades and look forward to surprising discoveries. This makes history exciting: you will find out, among other things, why the Gothic church of St. Lambertus has a leaning tower, how the equestrian statue of the popular Elector Jan Wellem was created, where Heinrich Heine was born and how the tailor Wibbel became famous. The castle tower on Burgplatz is the only remnant of the castle on Burgplatz, which was built in the 16th century and demolished after a fire in the 19th century. The oldest shipping museum in Germany has been located here since 1984. With your ticket you get free entry there on the day of the tour. Duration: approx. 90 minutes.
