Amazing walking Frankfurt with a local guide

Right when the tour started, it didn't feel like we were being guided by a local; there was no charisma or energy to our guide's commentary. It sounded more like a Wikipedia description of the city and landmarks rather than an insider's view. He had difficulty communicating in English, and we mostly just nodded that we understood what he was saying (out of respect). Throughout the tour, he also suggested several dining options that were clearly tourist traps. We felt extremely awkward the entire time and he made no attempt for us to feel like we could blend in as part of the city or culture. We expressed to him, quite early on in the tour, that we were feeling very tired and asked if we could cut the tour short (2 hours instead of 3). He said sure, but he ended up dragging it on and we were still out for the whole duration anyway. We felt uncomfortable the entire time. He also made insensitive and disrespectful remarks about minorities and people of color, claiming that they were poor and couldn't afford to live downtown. I thought that we would get a much higher quality experience based on the existing reviews and price point, but we were sorely disappointed.

Oleg was very accommodating to us - we walked at our own speed, skipped things we weren’t interested it, and stayed as long as we wanted at those places that fascinated us. Highly recommend touring with Oleg!

Oleg was a fantastic guide! Excellent communication leading up to the tour, met me at the airport during my layover, and gave an awesome, informative and absolutely unforgettable tour of Frankfurt. We explored so much in our couple of hours, I feel like I got a very comprehensive look at the city and its amazing history. Highly recommend to anyone with a short time in Frankfurt to experience a lot of this intricate city.

Great experience walking through Frankfurt historic, business and contemporary neighborhoods. Oleg’s pace was perfect and his narrative thoughtful. It was a low stress, comfortable and informative three hours that Oleg customized for my party of two. We also stopped in food and souvenir shops and had time to enjoy a local beer.

We saw great?sights - historic and contemporary - within a manageable walking distance, and three hours is about the right amount of time. We even took a break for a beer and rest. Oleg was a very good, thoughtful and knowledgeable guide who kept a pace we appreciated. I definitely recommend him.
