If you suffer from fear of heights, you can admire this masterpiece from numerous vantage points - such as the 700-year old castle ruin EHRENBERG - without ever setting foot on it!

Neuschwanstein Castles, Schwangau

The famous Fairytale Castle NEUSCHWANSTEiN is one of the most popular landmarks of Germany. It captivates visitors from all over the world with its dreamy beauty, inspired by characters from Wagner's epic operas. You have the option to walk up to the castle, take the shuttle-bus (not during snow and ice) or the horse-drawn carriage --> details see "Additional Info". The guided tour in Neuschwanstein castle takes approx. 35 min, afterwards you'll walk for another 15 min through many more rooms by yourself. About the particularities of these rooms you will be well informed by your guide.

Marienbrücke
20 minutes
Queen Mary's bridge ("Marienbrücke") - THE TOP VIEWPOINT - built in 1866 by King Ludwig II - one of the most famous in the world! It can be easily reached by a shuttle bus (€ 4.00 p.p.) from the parking lot or on a nice 40-minute uphill hike. From the bridge you'll reach the castle entrance within a 20-minute walk downhill and pass one more magnificent viewpoint! PLEASE NOTE: For departures after 8 a.m., there may be waiting times for both the shuttle bus and access to the bridge! But not far away we can show you another spectacular viewpoint without waiting. In snow and ice, the bridge is not accessible and Neuschwanstein Castle can only be reached on foot or by horse-drawn hybrid carriage.

Burgenwelten Ehrenberg

Welcome to the historic Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble - paired with the most modern and thrilling technology!
The 13th century Ehrenberg castle ruins are the centerpiece of one of the most important fortress complexes in Central Europe. It was once a mighty defense facility, administrative seat and customs station. An experiential museum bring visitors closer to the history of the area and its surrounding nature. For events of all kinds, the various historic rooms offer a more than worthy setting.
At the entrance of the castle ruins, the spectacular "Highline179"-pedestrian suspension bridge spans the valley at a height of 114 m/374 ft.
An attraction for young and old - all year round. A lift (€ 9.00/adult-roundtrip) replaces the 20-minute ascent on foot.

Highline179
35 minutes
The incredibly long pedestrian suspension bridge "Highline 179" spans the "Ehrenberg valley" at a dizzying altitude. With its stately 406 meters (1,332 ft) in length, it can officially be named the world's longest pedestrian bridge in the Tibet style. The crossing is also for children absolutely safe and offers spectacular views! If you dare to cross it, you will reach a spectacular view point and the baroque Fort Claudia after a 10 minutes walk.
A first-class attraction for young and old who are in the mood for an extra adrenaline kick!
Not so brave people can enjoy the view of this technical masterpiece and the surrounding mountains from numerous vantage points. There is no need to enter or cross the bridge at all!
Entrance fee suspension bridge (2025): € 10.00 adults/€ 6.00 children (4 - 14 years).
The lift "Ehrenberg Liner"(€ 9.00/adult-roundtrip) replaces the 20-minute ascent on foot.

Top Liner - up to the top
30 minutes
The Top Liner is the 2nd section of the lift that takes you to the entrance of the suspension bridge. In just 3 minutes, it overcomes 190 meters in altitude (623 ft.) and takes you to the highest point in the Ehrenberg castle world, the Schlosskopf panoramic mountain with its 18th century fortifications. Enjoy not only a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view, but also a tour of the well-preserved remains of the fortress, which was completed in 1741 according to the latest military findings and which was considered impregnable in its time. ***** Roundtrip Prices (2025): Adults (from 15 years) € 9.00

Dragon-Fly Zipline

Ready for the next adrenaline rush? Fly like a dragon 100% safely from the access of the bridge back to the valley. With a maximum flight altitude of 40 meters (130 ft.), you will overcome a distance of 600 meters (2,000 ft.) paired with breathtaking views - flying fun for young and old from the age of 8! Schloss Linderhof

With the option "XXL-Time Credit" you have the opportunity to visit LINDERHOF Palace - it was King Ludwig's smallest but most intimate castle located in a lonely Alpine valley.
With its breathtaking french baroque design and famous Bavarian trick paintings it was King Ludwig II's favourite palace. Following the French model, Linderhof was the only one of the three "fairytale castles" to be completed.
In the beautful castle park you can admire other "fairy tale buildings". *****

Oberammergau

OBERAMMERGAU - due to the Corona crisis, the world-famous Passion Play had to be postponed for the first time since WWII. The big event, which normally takes place at the full decade, had to be postponed until 2022.
On a guided tour of the village we will be happy to show you the Passion Play Theatre and its spectacular "Cabrio Stage" as well as the enchanting wall paintings. During a stroll through the historic center you can discover numerous shops offering souvenirs in a wide range, including the famous Oberammergau wood carvings.

Alpine Coaster

With the option "XXL-Time Credit", you will have the opportunity for another spectacular adrenaline rush: Take a ride at the ALPINE COASTER: With the 1st world's longest weatherproof toboggan run with magnetic brakes, you can reach the valley at a length of 2,600 meters with breathtaking views and adventurous curves! A cosy chairlift will take you in picturesque mountains to a cosy mountain inn and to the start of the adventurous Alpine Coaster at 1,270 m altitude...

Ettal Abbey

ETTAL ABBEY: If you want to see (and understand) another baroque masterpiece concerning church decorations, inserted in a 12-page domed room from the 14th century, you should follow your guide in this lovely Benedictine monastery near a little passo, just a 5 minutes’ drive away from Oberammergau.
