The Legendary Kölsch Brewery Tour

A great tour by Izzy around the old city visiting local pubs. Some great cultural tips and history. Very informative and the beer wasn’t bad either ;).

We had a great experience with Mike who was super welcoming and very funny. He put us all at ease which isn’t easy when you have a stag party as part of the group but he helped everyone to feel included and have a great time. The stories and knowledge/experience of Cologne really added to the whole experience and the pace was great. Highly recommend this tour.

Izzy made for a really fun and interesting tour. We liked the opportunities to chat with others in the group over a variety of excellent beers, while also hearing some fascinating stories from history. Length of tour and size of group were perfect,

This was a really fun tour. William, the tour guide, was awesome! He had hilarious tidbits about the buildings, the beer, and the city. LOVED him!

Marcel was amazing and we had a great time!! It was more then just a beer tour and we covered some great history of the city. Definitely a must do if you are in Cologne!

Marcel was an amazing tour guide. He knew so much about the history of Kölsch beer. He is well read, and knew many things that connected to the cultures of everyone on the tour. I would recommend his tour to anyone visiting Köln

It seemed most people on the tour and the guide mutually expect that people don’t really care about the explanations and just want to drink, and the tour turned out to be mainly just drinking and small talks. Not up to expectations. The guide did stop and tell things at some places, but only random fragmented trivia (I don’t get eg. how kölsch is special either materially or culturally). Also the guide didn’t have a microphone and we couldn’t hear well, but both the guide and most tourists seemed not to care.

Tour was great way to get history about the city and its passion for its beer. Izzy was our guide and was great so was the other people in our group tour.

Great tour for those with limited time. Izzy was great - gets the pulse of the group and works with it. Learned a lot. Nice selection of breweries.

Marcel introduced himself & helped the group get to know each other through some ice breakers.

He is very passionate about the history of Cologne & the history of Kolsch.

We got to experience an aspect of Colognes culture we wouldn't have been able to experience otherwise & we are really grateful - we both had a great time.

Fantastic, Moritz was a brilliant guide on our beginnings in the drinking of Kölsch! We learned so much and couldn't recommend more. An-mhaith!

We went on a Monday afternoon in late January, so the brewhauses we went to were not busy at all. This plus our small group size of 5 plus our guide Marcel made for a relaxed experience that was much more intimate and familiar than expected. Marcel was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny and my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. With a small group on an off peak time, this tour felt like going out with a local friend more than an official tour group, which was excellent!

Really fun tour. Marcel was a lovely, friendly guide, would absolutely recommend for a mix of city history and good beer in interesting locations!

It was really fun and the places we visited were great. The beer was some of the best I've ever had. Timing worked out really well too
