Cheaper way to visit Chania

We visited Chania when we were on a cruise that docked in Souda. When arriving at the port you can get a direct bus from the port to Chania for 1 euro 60 each way, you can buy your return ticket at the same time at the port. The journey is about 40 minutes direct with no other stops. Chania is a very nice place to visit for a few hours. We heard that there can be queues when a few cruise ships are in port, when we went we were the only ship there so we had no issues. This is a good cheap way to visit Chania if you are on a cruise.
