What You Will Do
The bus departs around 09:00 from Rethymno for the drive to Crete’s capital city of Chania, the most beautiful town on the island. Settled more than 4,000 years ago, Chania is one of the oldest cities in Europe.On this full-day excursion you’ll have 5 hours to explore Chania, with plenty of free time for a romantic walk through the idyllic old town.Visit historic neighborhoods, churches and museums and take a walk to the beautiful Venetian Port for shopping, a cup Greek coffee and lunch (not included in the tour price).At around 16:00 the bus will depart for the return trip Rethymno.

Chania is one of the most beautiful cities of Greece, featuring an exotic blend of different periods of history and their corresponding architectural styles. This trip offers you a straight transfer from your hotel to the city center where you can spend 5 hours of free time. You can explore the Venetian harbor, roam through the old Turkish quarters, havea drink or a meal at the seafront and be surprised by the aromatic and colorful herbs, spices and other local product that are being sold in the large market hall as well as in the numerous shops.Our bus start pick-up at 9:00 and drop off at 17:30.

Return Bus Ticket but Great Day

Pick up was drama free and bus modern and comfortable. With the exception of a map provided and small speech from a very knowledgable and at times funny George, this was very much a return bus ticket as opposed to a guided tour. This was exactly what we wanted so was more than happy with the arrangement and had a great day. Felt like we could have had more time on the day so maybe an earlier and later pick up/departure time would be possible.

This trip was exactly as advertised basically a transfer from Rethymno to Chania. Guide and driver were good. However the legroom on the coach was minimal hence just 3*
